$6.50 is the going rate here in San Diego. When I moved to SD from Orange, I found an apt complex a mile away from work; it was a bit more than what I wanted to spend, but since I walk to work everyday now rain or shine, I figure the savings from not using/buying gasoline on a commute would offset the bit higher rent cost. Holy smokes am I ever glad I moved close to work. I buy 4 or 5 gallons of gas once every two weeks for normal grocery getting, dry cleaning, hobby store, stereo shop, etc.; on a few occasions, I don’t drive at all for two weeks!

Last Thursday I had to fill up my Mom's Bentayga and it was about empty so...I think I paid like $6.29 for premium at the Chevron on Foothill and Mills in Claremont, CA. The total was $119 to fill it. Let's just say I was happy it wasn't MY money I had to use to fill it.

When the OG Lincoln Navigator came out, I bought one. Loved the big boy, but it had a large 30-gallon fuel tank. At today’s gas prices, I’ll be paying $169 to fill it up.(and that’s just regular gas) 😂

Man, that just SUCKS!

Are the Bentley owners suffering from higher gas prices? Everything I have read suggests the rich have not cut back at all on their spending.

Probably not, I'd assume it spends most of its life in a shop like my W12 Bentayga did.

I win. This is equivalent to nearly $12 USD per gallon...but it's 102 RON.

btw - you are driving the wrong car if you are complaining about fuel prices.

You would be right. My wealthy parents don't give a crap about gas prices.

My Mom's Bentayga is only a lowly V8. Not sure how reliable those engines are, but she has around 30K miles with no issues.

To be fair, I never had engine issues. Electrical gremlins since day one though. Should have probably been a lemon but I didn't have time and dealt with the crap for a while.

[QUOTE=DavyNM;32677159]well... I still don't know how may "liters" are in 1 gallon. I'm trying to figure out how to covert German gas station prices(2.01 euros as displayed at the station) to US gallons in US Dollar. Yes, I was never any good at math.

3.79 Litres per US Gallon

So just multiply the German (per Litre) price by 3.79.

2.01 x 3.79 =7.618 Euros per US Gallon.

Today $1.17 per Euro, so

7.618 x 1.17 =8.913 Dollars per US Gallon.

I’d be more than happy for someone to check that!

People need to stop converting Euro/Dollar in their comparison.
To do an accurate comparison you have to average it out vs salary. EU people get paid in EUR, US people get paid in USD, so comparing "Absolute" number will be more accurate. (Such as 2E/liter which is about E8 per gallon (compared to $8 per gallon)

And yes EU pay more, mainly as a result of their unelected Brussels governments misguided energy policy (or is it intentional?)
Funny how prices in CA are have reached the same price as EU due to the same misguided energy policy

I gave you a straight, factual conversion and made no comments about any significance around the result. To buy that gas in Germany, you would have to pay the equivalent of $8.913 per Gallon. No more, no less.

Facts are something that thankfully will always remain completely independent of personal & political opinions.

Your “accurate comparison” is at best an alternative comparison albeit somewhat coloured by your political views.
