Update on this. The functions works to hide codes in the FEM but doesn't get rid of the idrive messages. However, I was able to code out the CCIDs.

Stefan28 - thanks so much for the post.

I am in NZ and have 2017 340i with adaptive lighting and have been facing this exact issue for a while now. Took it to the local BWM dealer who tried all the aforementioned fixes (swapping the modules, etc.) and they suggested a new headlight as the only recommended fix at a cost NZ$4k (~US$3k). Thankfully I didn't go ahead with it as after finding your post, I managed to pop the round cap off and click the white connector plate back into its place - it was only marginally loose but must have been enough to trigger the error.

I have done 10 - 15 test drives since, including several at night when the error was most prevalent. So far I have not any further errors.

So thanks again for sharing - super helpful!

Stefan28, thanks for the suggested fix and the picture. My local BMW dealer quoted me about 3k to change the entire adaptive headlight on the right. After showing your post and picture the mechanic had it fixed in 15 mins. Just re-attach the electrical contct box and add some contact spray.
Not sure how long it will last, but for now everything works fine.

Does your adaptive headlights actually work? If yes, then there is something else wrong.
If not: just remove the adaptive headlights option code in your FA and code your FEM_BODY.

Yes your adaptive lights won't work anymore, but whatever.

You can however disable the CC-ID in your KOMBI, but then you need to find what CC-ID it is linked to.
This can be found in your ISTA-D in vehicle information.

If you need help, just send me a message.
