Hi everyone, my name is Alex and I'm from Mexico. I'll be using a translator if anything is unclear.
At the end of January of this year, I was driving from Ensenada to Tecate, Baja California. While going uphill, just as I approached a curve, my steering wheel locked up. It didn't just get stiff; it locked completely. I braked because there was a drop-off or ravine right at the end of that curve. It all happened very quickly. The lock lasted about 3 seconds, and then suddenly the steering wheel released. I always carry my AUTEL scanner with me, and further down the road, I stopped to check if any codes had appeared because nothing showed up on the screen or in the instrument cluster. When I checked with my scanner, it didn't show anything either. After some research, I found out that it's a common problem in the F30 series and some F32 models, but I never found any videos online that captured a lockup like mine. I uploaded my video to TikTok, and it currently has 1.3 million views. If you'd like to see my TikTok video, my username is... (Baja.bimmers) Even if any researcher/YouTuber/influencer sees this post and wants the video, I can send it to them without any problem. If you can, please mention that you came from Bimmerpost so we know someone actually saw this. Thanks. |
