so apparently everybody's electric motor cannot be controlled by the driver and is deployed using some algorithm (let's call it 'AI') ...

somehow, Kimi's AI has been faster than George's AI ! (we will see this weekend for sure!)

and it seems Lando's AI is also better than Oscar's AI last race ...

why is there even AI in F1!

I can't get my head around of some kind of AI being used to make a car go quicker, what is it and how is it even deployed in F1.

Let's say Hannah Smitz makes the call to pit MAX. And usually her call is always the right moment to pit.
At Miami her call to pit MAX was completely wrong .

To pit MAX under the Miami SC was a gamble-moment to pit and it turned out to be very wrong.
The result was that MAX had to push 51 laps with hards and lost 2 positions with his complete shot tires (!)
And his podium was gone as well...

What we actually needed at Miami....Was something like this (!)

claude-sonnet-4-5 can make mistakes. Consider checking important information.

As of right now AI has no place in F1 because it is not self critical, no AI is. They will flat out lie to your face and I have never ever had an AI apologize for being wrong. Not something I want to bet my life on.
