For you maybe.

150-60mph is all my heart can take anymore. My nerves have left along with a touch of hair.

I want to hear that sucker redlining around a track. Waaaaaaiiiiiiiillllllllllll.

I saw another test where the LP560-4 beat the Italia. Too close to call on just about all the cars listed.

In the US, top speed is a pretty silly conversation, sort of like the speed rating of the tires. I can't think of a track (the kind with turns) that I've been on that would let me actually approach vMax, so it's still pretty pointless. But it's good for marketing, and it shows that they didn't short gear it for acceleration at lower speeds.

The car's quick, and fast. Too bad it still does nothing for my eyes and that the McLaren with the stupid name will likely be faster, both in a straight line and around most tracks. I wonder if LdM leaving will help or hurt Fezza styling? The sound is great, but I think I still prefer the F355 and F360 sound, these larger bore motors just don't have that F1 style sound that the smaller motored cars had.

Wow that's pretty fast. The fastest I have gone is 240kph and that took forever on the autobahn in an A6.

Interesting.

There were lots of guys suggesting that this car was going to be dramatically faster than the LF A. In a straight line, yes, it appears to be faster.

But on a track the Italia appears to be just slightly...barely...faster than a F430 and Gallardo...two cars that the LF A has blown away on the track.

Just sayin'.

F430 Scuderia and Gallardo LP-560 / Superleggera

Those aren't normal F430s & Gallardos...

Have a look at the track times.

Like I said....

http://www.fastestlaps.com/track2.html

The LF A has owned them both.

Considering the LF-A's unofficial time was with a prototype car on who knows what tires I'll wait and see...

I'm prepared to eat my words, but I'm guessing 'blown away' and 'owned' are extreme overstatements and quite possibly downright wrong.

That's 132mph. That is... wow. That is insanely fast if that's an accurate number.

And just wait for the GT2 RS which is going to blow them all away with 2700 lbs and 580 hp.
The 458 is still one awful looking car IMO. Sort of like the enzo; great performance but terrible looks and interior that looks like crap.
Your right it is not a 1000 hp straight line beast, but 3.2 to 60 is pretty darn impressive.

You can keep your head in the sand all you want....just like the GT-R time didn't happen either.

I want someone to bring the Ultima GTR to the ring. I wonder if it could break 7 mins. So much performance for $50k i don't even care how it looks. And there also coming out with a 800hp version soon.

Also the Rossion Q1 would be interesting to see at the ring. I bet it could give the Viper ACR a run for its money. Probably too expensive for Rossion to send a car to right now though. Maybe if they come out with 600hp+ Q1, which should be soon, they'll send one to the ring.

but you forgot that the turbo has awd and turbo. the italia is NA and RWD. not really apple vs orange here.

not sure where you get the interior crab from, it is better looking interior than all porsche including the panamera.
