oh that lol
is it really that bad? i guess it would increase fuel economy because you aren't running a hydraulic pump all the time i haven't driven a new 5'er, but i can see how it would be hard to enjoy the feel of a steering system with no mechanical link between the wheels and the steering wheel. probably be no better than a video game with force feedback |

Same problem
This is my problem too.
I had a 335i 2009, two years old and now and I'm looking for a new car. I live in Brazil and here we have a 6 months delay for every BMW launch. This means that the 3 series will be here maybe in end of 2012 or mid-2013. Too far. I love the BMW driving experience and wanna to stay with the BMW brand (the 335 is my third BMW). But we have few models/options available here. One of the options was the 535. I drove the 535 and I was surprised by the response of the car. Nice torque and good response, thanks to the gearbox. And the 535i has a lot of tecnology that the 3 series will have only in the F30 series. But like others says in this thread the 535 is too big for me. The best for me was go back and buy a 135i 2012 and use it until the new 3 series arrives. But here I do not have this option - the 135i 2012 do not appear in BMW import lists this year! Good luck. |
