I'm in North Brunswick and both my children were smart enough to get into AND GO to Rutgers, being kind to their parents. They both got good jobs within a few months of graduating and have been off the "payroll" ever since. |

Glad to hear they went to Rutgers! When my daughter was looking we went to see the campus, but she wasn't enthralled. Maybe for the best, since I doubt I could get in again-- the standards seem so high now. We will be looking for a new car for my wife in a year, and it going to be tough to find anything better than a GT!

My favorite hunchback bavarian puts up with my "artsy" photography attempts.
Love how the small details in the taillights come to life

Just brought my new baby home. This is my 3rd GT. Started with an F07, then a F34 when they were first introduced and now the F34 LCI. I had been leasing, but loved my F34 so much, I decided to buy this one outright and keep it for a while . Just got it after waiting for it to be built for a few months. Not the greatest pictures, haven't even washed it after the drive down from Phoenix yet.

First snowfall of the year. Got the car too late last year to be able to find any 19" snow tires and really drive in the snow. Just got some Yokohama w.drive v905s put on and this thing is a beast in the snow. Left my 4x4 truck at home today.

Now that our GT "community" is mature enough to have owners of the original and the LCI editions, would those lucky members please share their evaluations of the differences. What are the visual/cosmetic changes? What are the driving/dynamic changes? Do you recommend us "original" owners get to our dealers right away to get an LCI version for the improvements?

I just received mine. A luxury 320D X-Drive LCI with quite bit of options.
I didn't have time to go do a proper photo shoot but I will try to upload them soon. |

I do like the new headlights, they really throw good light. The LCI feels a little bit smoother/more refined than my pre-LCI F34 (it was a really early build). I love the new engine, it's definitely peppier and has a throatier sound. I like that the m-sport package + driver assist now includes the blind spot detection. My F07 had that, but for whatever reason if you picked the m-sport package the F34 did not (they fixed that in later years). Unfortunately the m-sport brakes were _not_ available on the LCI and I'm not sure if it's a design change or the difference of the m-sport brakes, but I find the brake feel much softer than my previous F34. There is quite a bit more pedal travel, though it does still seem to stop just fine. Technology wise, I'm a tech geek (and an Apple engineer), so I'm big on CarPlay and very happy to have it. I also like the improved surround cameras and proximity detection. My previous F34 only detected about 45 deg off the front and rear bumpers, but now it detects proximity on a full 360deg around the car, and will auto-switch to this view if you are at very low speed (parking speed) and it detects anything close by. I can see it being useful to avoiding tree branches and such from scraping on the side if you aren't looking for them. I also really like the iD5 interface, feels much cleaner and intuitive to use. Overall, I would say that (to me) the car is an improvement on the pre-LCI F34s, not a dramatic one, but a nice iterative refinement. Hoping that they release the MPPK for it and a brake package as well, but that'd just be icing on the cake. |

Just dropped the suspension with Bilstein B8 and Eibach Prokit. Beautiful ride and nice stance. Around 1 finger gap on both front and rear. Wheels are Breyton Topas.
