I didn't there was a recall for this...
Last night I discovered a flack of gas on the floor because it was smelling gas very strongly in the garage... How and why is my fuel tank leaking ?!? My car has been sitting inside the garage for over a week. It was working well before. Now I don't think I want to drive it until I find what this is all about... http://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/att...1&d=1487080768 |

I called to make an appointment to have my summer tires put on and the dealer said that I would have to make a second appointment for the fuel pump. Never received a notice from BMW. My F34 has been a pain. More recalls on this car than my previous 8 BMW's combined.

Seems like this is not year specific but they're extending it on all f30's. |

sorry to revive this thread. So basically this has happened to my sister's car once. went into limp mode ...towed to BMW and the fuel pump was replaced out of warranty. Its been maybe 1 year or 2 and it had failed again. Not confirmed. but car hesitates to starts up idles are all over the place. and stalls, also a clicking noise.....most likely fuel pump. you think BMw will replace the fuel pump again under recall since its failed. This car is going to need to be towed; so i dont want to waste money towing it all over the place

1) The Pump was replaced already (and out of warranty). 2) The description of your issue is different than the recall. The pumps didnt actually fail, but a sensor within went bad. The sensor was not serviceable so the entire LPFP was replaced. As a result, the car could drive in limp mode with a CEL as you found out the first time. As the car will not start or run at all, this sounds like pump failed, not the sensor. |
