This thread does a good job of explaining the measurements, and the corresponding parameter values to get the seat to move to where you want it (post #30):

Couple of things. Can you peruse in expert mode to see what changes might be available?

I tried to make changes to the front electronic module but kept getting an error. I had to restore from backup or the FEM wasn’t recognised. Any ideas?

Thanks

I don't think so. Being a newbie to this coding stuff it would be great if there was a reference chart somewhere that listed what things to find where and change to affect different things.

Had the cars software updated due to new M/Performance rear lights, lost all codings but have managed to code them all back apart from the LIM function on the steering wheel. Ive tried to code it but the 2 modules I need are greyed out, could the software be newer than the app?

Probably, but the developer seems pretty good about app updates so I would sit tight for a while (or you could contact him directly). For what it is worth, I also had my car's software recently updated by the dealer (to F20-17-11-521, so pretty current as of November anyway) and didn't have any greyed out ECUs when I went back in to re-code everything.

Got a reply from Stephan, apparently the app is missing the necessary data for the updated software in my car, the next app update should fix this. I used Carly to code dash MPH with no problems.

Where is FEM_BODY/NSW_EIN_AUF_LDS_STL?

I just did my first successful coding of my 2014 F34. I started simple, disabling the legal disclaimer and enabling tire pressure readouts.

Now I'd like to make my fog lights actually useful in fog. According to this, I can do this by setting FEM_BODY / NSW_EIN_AUF_LDS_STL to aktiv. Unfortunately I have been unable to find this setting by poking around in expert mode.

Anyone know how I can access this setting?

I just got the app and used it code 340, no issues. Only did the simple stuff for now - turning off disclaimers, enabling mirror folding, etc.

Looks like in order to turn on anti-dazzle headlights I still need to use the full blown desktop app. Let me know if somebody found a way to do it on Bimmercode, thanks!

Is there any way to remove the display of "Now connecting to our search partner" (or something like that) when starting BMW Online?

I emailed the developer and he said there isn't a way to do this with the app yet.

Would anyone here recommend buying the app and the OBD2 adapter only to use the exhaust flap feature, rather than paying over $200 or so for the BMS CANflap add on?

I have both apps and the WiFi connector for ODB... for me to "have it all" for under 75$ was a no brainer. Solid applications that work. Hope the developer continues to enhance and update. Ive only currently done the Basic/Built in Codes so far. Havent got the courage to play around in Expert mode. No idea what Im doing in there although I know theres things I could/should code in there like 2TB sport trans and Launch Control.

The full blown desktop app? Does Bimmercode provide one?

Yeah, I meant ESys. Bimmercode was definitely worth the ~50 bucks (app+adapter) for me. The few simple stuff already made it worthwhile plus the ability to redo them if the dealer reflashes during service. I may dig into ESys when I have more time but for now satisified with Bimmercode's easy to use interface.

Anti-dazzle is really awesome, but there are still a lot of different opinions out there if this can really be turned on for US-spec cars. Some people think US LEDs lack the hardware, others say it's not an issue. If you search around on the forums you'll find posts with literally 50+ pages of discussions. You can check out the videos from BMW to see this feature.

IMHO, it makes paying for full adaptive LEDs and high beam assistant worthwhile. Without it, I'm not really sure if the adaptive LED upgrade is really worth the money on the F30.

Just saw this thread last week and immediate downloaded the Bimmercode app and ordered iCar 2 from Amazon. ICar arrived yesterday and I did my first codings. So happy with this and kinda cry that I didn't do this years ago. I'm not sure exactly all of the things I did but some are:

Mirrors close on Comfort Access
HALOs at 100%
Rear LEDs for running lights
Rolls Royce startup screen
Speed on Dash (but don't see much point of that since it is in the HUD)
Startup warnings off
Seatbelt warning off

I'm not sure what the M Performance emblems did, had one pop up briefly and that was about it. Is this all it does? Also changed M Performance color to red, but I did not see anything different.

I tried to turn off ASD, but the option did not appear on Bimmercode. I would assume this means I don't have it, but I have a 2014 Sportline 335i with all the options (and I mean ALL) and am pretty sure I have ASD. I read through a few of the threads, but it looks like it should appear on the Bimmercode app, unless I am doing something wrong.

Lastly, I too would live to have Anti-Dazzle coded. When I ordered the car I watched the above video and that is the sole reason I ordered it. It wasn't until a couple weeks before the car was delivered (waiting almost 6 months) until I learned the U.S. version only turns them on or off. Almost useless for me. Hoping the full hardware set is in my car and can be coded.

I just received my vgate2 last night and spent about 20 minutes messing around with bimmercode.

I have a 328i with basically no options at all so I was a little disappointed that some things didn't seem to work. I may need to do some further research, but here's what I got last night:

WORKS:
-Sport+, though it doesnt appear in the list in my instrument cluster. Im thinking maybe I missed one of the MENUE values. I couldn't tell much of a difference with it on though.
-Legal disclaimer removed
-Tail lights active with daytime running lights
-Tire pressure/temp. It wasn't working last night (even after resetting and driving for 5 minutes), but I noticed that it was working today

DOESNT WORK:
-Lock/unlock chime. I was able to add the option to my menu but apparently the noise is only available if you have an alarm?
-Sport gauges. I was able to add them to my idrive menu but they sit at 0/0 the whole time
-Sport auto (2TB) -- I guess we need access to EGS which isnt available in the app?
-Auto fold mirrors on lock/unlock. I'm pretty sure I activated the right options -- is this possible without comfort access?
-Disable corner lights (the amber turn signals that are on next to the lowbeams) -- again, pretty sure I disabled the correct option but maybe I missed something. Will look into this more
-Startup logo. I chose the M3 one and didn't see anything different. Didn't have time to mess with the others in the list.

STILL WANT:
-Is it possible to enable fog lights with the high beams on with this app?
-Can a totally base/no option 328i use those rolls royce chimes? The harp sounding ones?
