I finally succeeded.

The problem was with the storage medium used for the transfer.

1. First failure - Samsung card reader (the one in the attached image) with a 32gb Kingstone card, HC, class 4, formatted fat32. It started to install but gave an error
2. Second failure, 32gb Adata usb stick, formatted fat32. It saw the update, but after I started it, it asked me to insert the usb with the update
3. SUCCESS. I used the Samsung card reader together with a 128gb Samsung card, PRO PLUS, XC1, class U3 (I had some trouble changing it to 32gb so I could format it in FAT32), the transfer speed PC => card was 90mb/s.

The update on the car took somewhere around 40-50min, so the transfer speed between the card and the car was somewhere between 10-13mb/s. And I was lucky enough to have the FSC lifetime code installed on the car.

So conclusion: you need the best possible storage medium, with the highest possible write/read speeds, preferably a real transfer speed of at least 20mb/s, and like the brand, something medium to premium.
