I’d have never thought about buying wine from their...not in a snobby way, just don’t know where its come from....and don’t say Amazon
Lathwaites and Virgin Wines both on Amazon although better selections and prices if you order directly with them via their own sites.

The plan it to plug it into next door's outside socket and leave it 24 7 or just get the smaller pool out

Still waiting for my slot - more than three days now though I suspect they may be closed today. Don’t really give a toss if the stuff isn’t available it just means I have to do more DIY but resent paying for it and having no way to contact them to find out WTF is happening...

I know there are lots of good causes at the moment, but if anyone's running out of things to spend money on, check out this chap.

Nothing short of awesome IMHO.

Bit late to this one but here's the list:

1) New TV and Sound Bar
2) An 8' Trampoline
3) An inflatable hot tub
4) Subscriptions to Disney+ and XBox game pass
5) TRX straps

The sooner everything goes back to normal the better IMO!

interestingly, in contrast to B&Q, I run out of some other stuff and tried Screwfix yesterday morning. Straight through to website, ordered (limited stock like B&Q) and within about 30mins got a text to say order was ready. Drove to store, no queues and back home all within about 1hour of ordering!

I think people have had the same experience with both Wickes and Homebase - it’s just B&Q that seem to have been completely overwhelmed by demand

I've been using Screwfix rather than the big sheds for years now, so much better - all my local ones are closed, however, although they're doing home delivery on most lines

Well that was a bit of an anticlimax. First car in the car park at 8:05, was told I should’ve had a phone call as well as an email (no mention of that at all) but chap took my order number and brought out the stuff straight away. Less than five minutes on site...

Astonishing. Someone from a generation that survived a world war and its aftermath without complaint. Contrast that with the selfish cunts that can’t be arsed observing minor restrictions for a few weeks. A generation apart.

My grandfather served at Ypres and Passchendaele, my father at Suez and Korea, my uncle in the Falklands and my cousin in Bosnia and Afghanistan. Not one of them ever complained about their lot in life, and to a man have spent significant portions of their lives helping others. What they must think of the self-obsessed knobs of today is beyond me.

Well done Captain Moore - you’re an inspiration to us all...

Yup averaging £5000 a minute!
Nice boost from the main news programmes which is a nice contrast to their constant speculation about lifting of the restrictions and the gloom and doom

Spot on. Fed up listening to journalists fishing for worst case horror scenarios, be it healthcare or financial, looking for the bad news rather than the good.

Incoming from the Am' today:

JBL flip 5 Bluetooth speaker for sounds in the garage when exercising, and the garden when not.

Silicon ice cube trays (4) to stay better prepped for wife's new love of home-made frapps.
