I would like to go back to the topic of CA retrofit and add some tips. Just doing this modification. My modification consists in translating the CA function between F30 and F31. Both cars are my property.
Initial state: F30- has CA F31- is not finished Target state: F30 - has no CA F31 - has CA As it was written, FEM_MAX or FEM_HIGH_CA is needed. In my case, I had FEM_HIGH_E - it did not have CA functionality. Despite the fact that both FEMs look identical, their hardware structure is different. FEM have been swapped and reassigned to the car. Then you have to reconfigure / recreate the car: FA, VO, SVT. we do this with E-SYS. Important note: Before you start playing with modifications - save the FA, VO and SVT from your car. Then we need to add the value SA322 to our FA. In ISTA + we can check whether we have an HWA certificate - that is, whether our FEM supports CA. The next steps are: replacing the handles with the CA module, installing external antennas and installing the module in the bumper. Interestingly, the SA316 hands-free trunk opener is closely related to the SA322. I do not know if it will work properly without it. At the moment, I am at the stage of laying the installation for the antennas. I will let you know when the project is finished. |

Hi guys this question was asked before but never been answered;
The door handle has 4 pins only the 3 are shown in newtis.info Pin2 where does it go? Pin 1 yellow to 33 A173*9B Pin 2 white where this one go? Pin 3 brown to ground Pin 4 red to 30 A173*3B Thanks for the reply |

Why they put that extra wire ?That means we can use the handle from the E90,has 3 pins and physically is the same handle. I have a set from E90 lying around that's why am saying about it

Does someone have an overview of all connector part No's and pins / repair cables?
Especially the four pin to the doorhandle, would like to modify current wiring harness instead of buying the whole new harness... |

I was wondering, do you really need the trunk button for the retrofit?
Saves a lot of time/effort not retrofitting that button and only run the other wires. |

Does anyone know how the wire from the sideskirts routes through the wheel arch into the cabin?
Above question is still relevant as well, but it will be the last step for me. Thing I have left is 1. Passenger doorhandle, 2. driver sideskirt antenna + wire to driver footwell 3. This is why you need a new doorhandle support.
The handle and the handle- support both have notches that are opposite on CA and STD.
