If your theory is correct that it is on top of sportline, the $3500. price being tossed around seems high. You are already paying for sports seats, alcantra headliner and the sport suspension in the sportline option. That would require 2 tiered pricing for M sport packs on top of sportline vs. luxury/base/modern. It also shoots the lines in the foot allowing "sport" options w/o buying a sportline car which appears BMW is not ready to do.
IMHO, its going to be a seperate line in the US Or a package on sportline cars ONLY. If they think its worth $3500. on top of $1700. for sportline, it won't be any of my $$$ |

In Canada we don't pay for lines, so if M-Sport is 3500 it's just a 3500 dollar option...add that to 4500 premium package and 400 for adaptive steering and 400 for the suspension and you're got a car that's just over $61,000 before fees and taxes.

As you can see from the visualizer below, the Msport is a separate line or package. However you word it.

I noticed how the new F10 M5 was put on the bmwusa website today and lists the BMW individual colors right on the website to order. It looks like BMW is only charging $1,800 for BMW individual paint. What are the chances this will be the exact same for the BMW F30 when the M sport releases in June/July?
I REALLY would like to get the M sport in champagne quartz metallic, would be awesome if the paint was only $1,800 more. |

Either way I'll buy it...as I really don't care...but I hope he's right... On a separate note, thank you for the link. That's the first time I've seen it. It does sadden me that I can't get walnut and black accent...I don't like chrome...and I do like wood. Oh well...life is full of compromises. Last edited by Mrcarcrazy; 05-03-2012 at 11:20 AM.. |

I missed your post Alpine. Great minds...
They didn't require you to get the Sport package and the M Sport package before on the E90, and it's highly unlikely for the F30. Here's another clue that it's not a double dipper. If you go to the "build your own" page you will notice a empty space next to the existing base model and 3 lines. This empty space is identical to the other 4 and fills the box nicely.

I would like to see the Cloth/alcantara seats available for the US or a Grey Leather interior like the one available for the Sport Line. Also, I kind of like the 18" wheels offered in the Sport Line better than the 19" ones.
I currently have a 2011 335i M-Sport Black Sapphire w/ Oyster interior and can hardly wait for my lease to be up so I can get one of the newer 335i models. |

Chances a pretty good that the F30 will be exactly the same. Different BMW country-specific web sites (bmwusa.co, bmw.de, bmw.co.uk, etc.) have their own unique ways of displaying the decision logic for different models, but the results are basically the same. It definitely looks like the bmwusa site will display the M-sport package differently than other country's sites -- like another line on the first page. Don't worry, no "double dipper" for M sport. |

Yup, I checked the German site out and you're right.
The M Sport Package deletes the Sport Line selection when you do the configuration for the 1 series. Pretty cool stuff! So if it's a package, I'd assume a price of $3500 for sure...can't be more than this unless it includes the M Sport brakes...but anything more than $3500 would be a deal breaker for me... Let's just wait and see...

Speaking of "Build your own". The old "E" versions of the wagon and coupes are still on the configurer. The M sport package for an e91 wagon is $3750 and $2800 for an e92 coupe. So the F versions should be somewhere in that neighborhood.
