6WB coding tread

Guys, yesterday i had my retrofitted 6WB coded, but unfortunately the OIL temp and FUEL gauges arent working. Can anyone help me what might be the problem and how i can fix it. Thank you in advance

Not possible by coding.
Only Alpina flash or the App XHPFlash will show this.

You guys so I have been speaking with a eBay seller that sells the 6wb clusters

But he is telling me that the 6wb cluster is not suitable with CIC idrive is this not true and just still purchase the cluster from them

He said he will sell it to me he is just afraid that it won't work and I'm going to ask for a return

But I mean I'm so confused

Bimmertech says it is possible to retrofit this cluster to my car

I look at the connections and the connections look exactly the same from my cluster and the 6wb cluster

Bimmer tech sells the cluster for 1700

This guy is selling the for basically 1100

So I wouldn't mind saving a couple of hundred dollars

Or is there a such thing as a non hud cluster and a HUD cluster

or does Bimmer tech still modifies them in there end to make them fit in my car

It'll work, I just installed my 6wb in my pre-lci with cic. Only issue would be what type of chip is inside the cluster and if it can be virginized unless you're willing to live with the tamper dot. Tbh, tamper dot doesn't bother me at all. $1100 seems like quite a lot for a used cluster tho.

From my understanding these clusters are new never been coded and are virgin clusters

Ecs tunning sells them for about 1200 as well but they won't ship intill May 20 or so

Did you code the DKombi with the 6WB in the VO after the retrofit?
Because you already had the problem with the "LOUPE_TACHO_KOMBI" which normally is coded automatically when VO code it.
If yes or not, maybe you can try again to VO code it.
If that not helps you can try to play with these 2 values:
Kombi_Aufloesung: aktiv <--> nicht_aktiv
MFID_KOMBI_VARIANT: aktiv <--> nicht_aktiv

These lines can be found in the HU_NBT.
So I would have to expand / change my question. Did you also code the HU_NBT with the 6WB VO?

Hi All,

Fitted a new 6WB to my F31 at the weekend. All went well but driving to work I noticed one difference. Before the change I had 6WA fitted and I also have the HUD, when driving my HUD shows me lane changes etc from the Navigation. Now I have the 6WB installed I no longer get this function in either the Cluster or the HUD.

Any suggestions?
