Hey guys so I just switched to running E30 and stage 1 E30 map on my 440i. I tested the pump gas I'm running and also the E85 for ethanol % and calculated from there.
I posted earlier about timing corrections I was getting and was hoping they would be gone with the E30 tune. Corrections are still pretty bad. Here are a couple logs, plugs and coils just changed FYI. https://datazap.me/u/erzenble/stage-...og=0&data=3-18 https://datazap.me/u/erzenble/stage-...og=0&data=3-18 Any ideas why I'm getting corrections? I'm thinking of trying the NGK plugs gapped to 22 or possibly adding a half gallon of E85. That would put me at E33 and might help. |

Also what's the limit for the none TU stock HPFP? Could I run say E35/40 with my E30 MHD tune to kill corrections? How would I know if I'm maxing out my HPFP? STFT above 10-15 percent? Boost not hitting target?

log HPFP target pressure vs HPFP actual pressure and you can see if it's beginning to crash would be the best way.

Self Tuned E50 Pure850
So over the last few months I have been learning how to tune my own car reviewing all of your logs for reference and speaking to people who know whats up shout out to IMS-340C and also Odin Tuned.
Here is my own custom tune I still have a bit to dial in but I am extremely happy with what I have been able to accomplish 150 revisions later. https://datazap.me/u/wrxtobimmerguy/...14-15-22-37-39 |

This may be the cleanest log I've had yet after tweaking my tune on e60.

Hi all,
I have been scratching my head over this car for a week or so and could benefit from all who know way more than I do when logging. Car is a 2019 X3 M40i. Car was given a catless downpipe, and flashed to the Stage 2 91ACN (AGG) OTS map from BM3. After flashing the car was 0.2 seconds slower 0-60 than stock on Dragy. After this observation, new OEM plugs were installed and gapped to 0.022", same result as before. Car is slightly slower than stock. Things to note: Without DCS turned fully off, I will get traction warnings when applying only 1/4 throttle at very modest speeds. The logs seem to show timing pull and some overboost, but beyond that I am at a loss for more detail or any direction of what actions to take on the car. Data Logs: 0-60 Run: https://www.bootmod3.net/log?id=630f...90c60183da82bd 3rd-4th Gear Pull: https://www.bootmod3.net/log?id=630e...0b4355835d66de Any insight from the community is greatly appreciated, thank you in advance for anyone taking a look at the logs!

Id be happy to give it my best shot. I think the difference between me and a big name tuner is the amount of revisions we would need to do since I don't have a bunch of basemaps sitting around for different turbo setups. On the plus side I would do it for free
Oh but you have WMI I don't know how to integrate that booo |

Is over boost normally seen when first applying throttle like this, as opposed to maintaining over boost through the full pull? Once again appreciate the help.

Edit: look at that teal line from this PID control image it kind of matches your boost. Last edited by WrxToBeamerGuy; 09-14-2022 at 05:39 PM.. |
