Yeah, same here. I guess it's the price you gotta pay. I also tried with the "10.25 NBT" screen size option in the Android HU configuration, but the OEM side started acting up so I had to reverse it.

That sounds like a problem I heard from people with a CIC and there you can´t change the resolution, so if you started with a 6 inch display you have to stick to the size.

Hello friends,
Can someone tell me which folder is our factory_config.xml file please?

I would like to copy / save it on my PC (I am root) then add lines like Kri.

I'm on S625 Android 9 V3.8.7 Als from 29-11-2019 and I only have 3 choices of ID, it's poor I think ...

It is indeed possible that the coding of the resolution via bimmercode (for example) is the solution, but your seller must be able to advise you, or even, exchange your unit?

The seller is RUISO, he can t advise me, he tell me to use other apps😂, i can t e exchange unit because i can t send it back... MY post office it s closed, because of the virus..

I will try to boot only with android, without bmw unit to see if it works

Hi all. Received my unit from MEKEDE on AliExpress. I have a BMW E87 without any screen.

Currently having an issue with sound & AUX. My car has Bluetooth, USB and AUX as standard with BMW Professional Headunit.

However, I removed the fiber optic cable from the original quad lock to add to the harness provided, and when I do this, the original head unit loses AUX, USB and BLUETOOTH options therefore no sound for the Android screen.

When I plug the original BMW professional back in with the original quad lock, everything works fine, USB, Bluetooth and AUX, it's only when using the android harness.

@Kri can you help? I believe you have E87.

Can you make pictures of your harness? Sounds like the two connectors with all the white cables are switched, or not correctly inserted.

it is normally the opposite! When I received my unit, I did not put the quadlock, so no AUX and USB, then I put it = access (from the OEM) to AUX and USB, and finally, I put the AUX cable from the unit to the armrest (take a good cable of higher quality)

Hi friend. I have BMW E87 2009 with no screen and BMW Professional (USB, BLUETOOTH AND AUX). Do I have to take GREEN FIBER OPTIC from original harness to place into after market one?

I have green optical cable because my bluetooth and aux box is in the boot. I will watch video and I will tomorrow take photos to explain better.

Have a look at this. Seller says you have to switch optical cable from original quad lock to android quad lock.

If you have an optical cable you have to switch it and put it into the other quadlock so it’s plugged in into the headunit.

another tip... I also have a Mekede unit whit the extra option called worse support.... took me 2 months to get it work.... also ordered an new wiring harness but that was not the problem..... there is a setting within the Factory option in the menu. The options asked you if the car is with original oem screen yes/no... I had to choose yes because I already had a 6.5" screen. try that option

Found it on my A_10 at "\mnt\vendor\persist\OEM" maybe its also already there on A_9.

@ Livar like the other already told, put the fiber into the chinese harness.
Btw please don`t do double posts in both Threads, most people are reading both threads, so if someone does know a solution you will get a respond.

Oh, you upgraded to Android 10? What's your experience with it? Was it easy to upgrade from Android 9 3.8.5 ? Are there tangible benefits?

So that's why Kri suggests to buy from local shop. In Netherlands, one of most professional shops is Car Audio Limburg. They have 8-year experience on BMW retrofit upgrade. Lol

Jep, updated this week, so i`m out of helping with Android 9 now :/

As i`m running only a 2GB Ram version is see lags some time when switching between apps.

But for the moment i see no "Killer-Feature" to update to Android 10, so if you`re fine with Android 9 stay on it at the moment

I have the same problem. For now i use the original Bluetooth. No need to stream from phone.

Hello !
I have a problem that annoys me when I listen to sound on the ANDROID side (KSWplayer / Spotify player or any) and I switch to the OEM side, the sound (on AUX) is always muted (?) when driving and wanting for example,
Adjust the on-board computer = no More sound
When Android Auto is disconnected, the unit switches to the OEM side, so = more sound
When you park and PDC stop = no More sound
You want to display Sport = no More sound
It is quite painful!
Anyone have a solution please ??

Disable Mute on reverse.
For the other ones i have no solution
