Obviously NBT. So 1 I want to say this caught me completely by surprise and I want to thank Joyce with KANOR for getting me to double check. But have any of you seen this? Where the connection is NBT but the actual visuals are CIC?

I guess what I'm saying is if you have a car around the time they switched over, it's worth it to actually take your dash apart and be 100% sure which connection you have.

Interesting indeed. Now I understand why they were being very particular in asking the questions they did.

I was pretty sure mine was NBT because of the production date and the UI. I've also updated the NAV maps regularly so I know for sure it is an NBT unit.

I should be getting mine on Monday. It would have arrived sooner (i.e. in 5-7 days) but the local logistics company (SkyPostal) dropped the ball and had the package waiting at the US hub in Chicago for about 4 days. SMH.

Yes, the pre-sales customer service with KANOR has been good. I did have a somewhat long debate about the LTE bands on different versions. However, I think the issue was due to a language barrier. I chatted with both Joyce and Crystal but ended up working more with Crystal and placing the order through her.

Remains to be seen how post-sales experience will be. Hopefully, there should be little to no reasons for contacting them. After reading through this thread, I think I know what to expect and how to address potential issues if they do arise.

Finally, seeing that your BMW OEM display screen was made in China (no surprises there in the manufacturing supply chain), it seems funny how we often refer to these aftermarket head units as Chinese units. Issues in quality are obviously down to hardware and software engineering design standards and overall quality control - not so much from where they were made. Just thought I'd throw that out there. :-)

Yes, Kanor is selling GS brand HUs. Joyce is helpful indeed, but her colleagues are too slow, it takes a week or more to ship the HU. Looks like they don't have their own stock and order from factory (or distributor) on case by case.

Just saw this after my last post.

My unit was actually shipped 2 days after I placed the order. I was initially told that there was no stock and it would take a week to ship. However, after I told them that I would shop elsewhere, they made things happen. Lol. So it seems like they may truly not have their own stock like you said.

Another Person also reported such a headunit at Discord, but i`m still unsure if they do sell 2 version now or if they did fake the CPU, what is not an easy task.

had the same issue with the yzg ones. not sure about the cpu but you can tell by the android version. look at the android sdk version and the build number theyre all for android 9 not 10.

edit: just seen i replied to the wrong person lol, the cpu i think you can check by clock speed as i believe it should be 2.0ghz but these are 1.8

Hey guys just installed an android screen in my car. My car originally came with the backup cam. When I go into reverse I see it switching but I get no image from the camera. Did I not install it correctly? I did the optical cable switch and I have sound witouth having to connect to arm rest aux.

Hi guys. Still having problems with my new Fiio K3. Seems like KSWSound Restorer isn’t autostarting sometimes, therefore multimedia audio is on 25%. And there are other times that the Fiio doesn’t output any sound if I don’t reconnect it. I’ve factory reseted the screen but nothing changed. I don’t know what else to do.

I have a big problem with the new version of the android idrive Controller (Metal Ring Knob) like in this Video:

First Start up of the car - the idrive Controller is working, 2-3 start ups later - the controller completly off without light (not booting up with the HU) after start-up.. You have to unplug and plug-in the Cable from the Connector or the Controller while the HU is on, to make it work again. (Like in the Video)

Someone knows this Problem ?

I had an older idrive Controller too

Looks like your link is for 1280x480 screens. But the price is like for 1920x720 from Ebilaen (the seller I'm dealing with).

Hmmm.. When I bought it a month ago, they had 3 units, SD, Antiglare, HD Antiglare Blue.

The one "win" for me was the wireless Android Auto. Most list as "wired". If they are using Zlink, then I have no idea why they wouldn't be wireless.

Use 2.3.6 android HU firmware + Sound Restorer app v1.2, it will keep your android sound level on max level at startup, you just need initially to set the volume on the DAC.

Hi again guys. I've finally fixed my issues with Fiio K3. I've connected it to the other USB port and now works perfectly. Also I've disabled anything related to battery saving for the Sound Restorer app and now it autostarts every time. But I'm still having problems with the mobile data. Sometimes even it has 4G and 5 signal bars I don't have internet. I have to switch on/off airplane mode to get internet.
