Honestly I thought about it because I hated driving that car in the snow because RWD without snow tires sucks, and the salt they dump here. I was just going to get a beater and call it a day. But I really liked the new F30, so here I am!

Sorry to threadcrap. Things I don't like about the F30 3:
- center console is pathetic, I mean why even bother?
- left storage compartment is deleted when you get driver assistance. Goes along with the first point - not enough interior storage.
- wish the iDrive screen retracted into the car
- HUD: has more potential to show more information.

I'm really nitpicking here, these are really first world problems

I'll preface this by saying that I absolutely LOVE my F32, amazing car and I'm 100% happy with my purchase.

What I don't like:

- Comfort mode steering (and electric in general), nuff said.
- Stopping heavy acceleration mid gear causes the tranny to hang sometimes (at least with a JB4)
- With mineral gray the rear diffuser color is too similar to the body color, not enough contrast
- Loath the yellow outside lights at night (I realize it's govt mandated)
- I-drive loses the connection with my iphone periodically, messing up music/podcasts
- I-drive maps doesn't have satellite view closer than 1 mile zoom level
- I've gotten used to the auto stick but I liked my e9x one better
- Dust shows up EVERYWHERE
- Plastic dash is a bit meh, and it attracts dust
- If you get low on oil the thing harasses the living shit out of you to the point you have to get off the road and do it immediately when its "low"
- Replacing the stock chrome grill with a black one made me bleed

My 2011 335xi lease is up, and just test drove a 335, a 328 and a 320.

Noticing how quiet I was during the first drive, my advisor quasi-apologized for the car, saying buyers who cross-shop Mercedes are now happy.

On my F35, I dont like:

Keyless Start/stop but WITHOUT Comfort Access, and can not be retrofitted!!!! That means I have to take out my key twice to finish a drive.......

All kinds of wired sounds.....

Coming from E92 335i to F32 435i, I am disappointed at various missing features:

a) No DCT - F32 automatic gearbox is much slower in response compared to the DCT.
b) Prefer the E92 steering feel, much more feeling.
c) Comfort Access is an option, which my F32 is not equipped with. Should be standard in such class vehicles.
d) E92 had much more storage facilities, coin slot in door, separate sunglass compartment in door, folding hinged compartment.
e) Lacks E92 interior lighting effects.
f) No driver/passenger grab handles.
g) No automatic tightening of seat belts during hard driving as in E92.
h) Poor quality of dashboard shortcut buttons.
i) Could be wrong, but I am under impression Harman Kardon on E92 sounded better than F32 Harman Kardon.
j) Front seat will not fold forward to allow rear passengers out, unless its lowered, as headrest does not clear roofline.
k) Front seat moves extremely slowly on electrical controls.

Despite all this, I am extremely happy with my F32!

My Gawd. For whatever reason, this is the first time I have read this thread. I have an appointment with my CA tomorrow to spec/price out a new 340. After reading this, I am almost ready to cancel and just hang on to my E90 with 125K on the clock. On ther other hand, maybe BMW fixed most of the gripes as part of the LCI. Guess I will take a look anyway.

I'm also looking into the 340xdrive...hope this new info is true since people were very disappointed in this F30 version.

On CIC-iDrive models, does not remember the volume every time on start up

Heated rear seats requires leather, and also cold weather pack

You need Enhanced USB to put in a Lightning cable, or you will have to use BMW's with a 30 pin adaptor.

Vinyl dash topper is not substantially padded

Shortcut buttons don't seem to fit perfectly

This! At first I thought it's the leather because it's new, but it makes no sense. There is constant type of noise when driving corners in parking lots like the plastic cover on the ceiling lamps are falling down and the leather getting squeezed. Can't even explain it properly. Just annoying.

No option for digital speed readout in the instrument cluster - had this on my old A3 and it was great.

Tray cover for cup holders - annoying design means you can nearly rip your fingernails off trying to get it out. And then... oh wait I have to stash in unceremoniously in the glove box. Stupid.

The digital speedo can be coded on, I've done it and isn't as big as the ones you find in Audis (My A6's is huge) but it's something right? Haha

The 4 has the 3 underpinnings..and there aren't enough of us 4 owners to really need our own when the issues would be the same regardless. Pretty sure the 1 and 2ers don't share the platform...so it makes sense to have them separate.

BMW really needs to do something about this if they don't want this problem to start dripping over to social/TV media and it really becomes a "thing" where certain people will just automatically avoid BMW because a quiet cabin is one of the do wants on their list.

Same here. I love the car but tons of tire and wind noise is why I'm done with the F30. The longest thread on this forum is dedicated to road and wind noise. That says something.
