The parking lot cop👮🏾*♂️kicked us out soon as soon as we got the car staged and started shooting.

Security: “Are you authorized to take photographs?”

Me: “yeah, I’m authorized to take photographs of my car. Do you want to get in a shot?”

Security: “…”

Me: [started packing up] LOL

Luckily I got a few good shots before he showed up. I also laid some stripes and gunshots on the way out of the parking structure for my trouble. 😈

Yeah it is ridiculous, but I didn't escalate further and just moved along. It sucked because I had planned to shoot that location days in advance thinking no one would bother me there that early in the morning.

I need to take some shots of my car in some dramatic setting. The first two shots of DrivenByE30's car remind me of some locations near the French Quarter -- but that's hardly ever free of other vehicles nowadays. That's true of most of the city, come to think of it.

There's a little stretch near City Park on the shore of Bayou St. John where I've seen people picnicking and even waxing their cars under the trees. Maybe . . .

How much did the respray set you back if you dont mind me asking?

I want to get my AW front bumper resprayed because of the rock chips, but I would want it at a good shop so it doesnt yellow out after a while... which means the $$$ goes up up.

I was quoted 750 for strip and paint.

I feel that it's a bit high, but the shop does quality work, and has done a repair to my rear quater panel that looks flawless.

I'll be doing clear bra after that for sure.
