I had some of the automotive one laying around so I used that.

I assume it's safe since it's made specifically for automotive use but I still washed the area then quick spray wax afterward.

I always thought the dealer stickers were always on the inside of the rear windscreen...

Not in the US. A vinyl sticker on the rear bodywork is very common here, especially with used cars.

i have the dealer remove it BEFORE i pick up the car. More symbolic too.

I wouldn't even buy from a dealership that wanted to put those cheap ugly stickers on the car.
