Hmm...you're right. I assumed the phone app was required because I've used iftt on it before. It would be better if it did sync with the phone because you'd be able to interact with functions on it too....like send a real text message, call someone etc

Has anyone gotten the BMW Labs Mobility App yet? It's also mentioned on that page.

I now have an IFTTT account, connected to BMW Channel and even have available on my Connected Drive account, which allows me to have it running on split screen.

Just like GlenNYC, I'd be very interested in how others are using it

I've got it installed and working but most of the existing recipes are mainly duplicates of functionality I already use and dont need the car interface for. Examples:

Using geofencing/IF/WeMo:

Leave home - turn off lamp in the living room.
Arrive home - turn on lamp in the living room.

Using geofencing/IF:

Arrive at the office, write to a google calendar
Leave office, wright to a google calendar

Using geofencing/Honeywell Lyric thermostat
Leave home - set back thermostat temp
Arrive home - set temp back to normal setting.

I can't seem to get the geo features to work. Other notifications like weather / rain, or home security camera rules work fine, but things like "send an email when I enter / exit an area" don't seem to work.

Any ideas on what I could be setting up incorrectly? I've enabled location services on both IFTTT and BMWConnected apps.

I know I can't use the "send me a location of my car when I've parked" logic since my car is stick, so there's no way for it to tell when I've parked. But, just figured driving into a certain geofence area should work...
