the front suspension looks almost identical to the e90... even the aluminum components
rear looks pretty similar too except the shock is directly mounted to the large link on bottom.. where as on the e90 there was a huge soft bushing |

I was hoping they will get rid of this separate parking brake stuff, but they have wired habbit to keep it. I like everything in this car, really, with some normal single padded brakes (like mercs and others have), this will be just perfect.
Now you probably ask whats wrong with this one... well just try to have a car a bit more then its worranty millage and you'll know how it brakes someware on the motorway. This never happends if you don't have this "enhancement". |

I wonder if a BBK for the e9x would fit on the F30

It's not really clear to me whAt's the real everyday anvantage for me as a driver in this double pivot front suspension setup in both e90 and f30...
I would preffer double wishbond. |

On a separate note. I am getting the impression that BMW is going soft in the suspension department in general. 1st-This new car is longer, 2nd-It still has the crappy run flats, 3rd-Essentially the same suspension as the E90, 4th-Steel stamped components in the rear. Seems like we are really getting less but paying more and BMW is laughing all way to the bank. |

Same with the current cars. The F30 uses the exact same set of suspension arms (front & rear) as the F20 1 series. |
