Nope. Never buying a black car again. The inside is dandy (just black leather with oyster highlight), but I'll never do a black exterior again.

Craving for Sakhir Orange next time (F80), Melbourne Red (F30) or EBII again (F36).

Although EBII + CR looks great, I'd go for a different exterior colour next time.
Snapper Rocks Blue or Champagne Quartz Metallic exterior look awesome...

I must say it looks OK in your picture, but I saw a blue with red interior BMW out on the road once and thought it was the most retarded colour combo ever. I'm not trying to be rude or anything, but don't you think the colour contrast is just too much? it does look fine in your picture, but I think that can only be pulled off without looking tacky or flashy if you have a dark, midnight blue.

Guys, what is your dream BMW build?
mine would be either MG or BSM on CR F30 with a 3 stage manifold N52 + 8 speed swapped in. coilovers, (RWD!) debadge the 328i logo off the rear, catless headers, secondary cat delete, borla muffler, 19 inch rims.. etc. I would love something like this to shit. honestly.. I would have ended up going with the f30 if it had an early model version that came with the n52 (2011 528i was RWD n52 only) |

I always felt that they can look great in showroom condition when perfectly detailed under perfect light. Chances are they will be impossible to keep that clean in real life, at least not regular without being obsesive about detailing your car a lot. Also I find that sometimes subtle design lines/details get lost on black cars.

I may just be the wrong owner for a black car. Love the car anyway, though. |

I have MG on black. I will not do another black interior. I like them, but have had too many and need a change. Saddle or CR next time.
My dream build would be 340i wagon, RWD with manual transmission, M sport and either silver on CR or AW on saddle. Wagon looks amazing in a lighter color to highlight the roofline. Too bad this will never be an option on the US.

I like the beige seats, but never considered it because of the beige carpet and lower dash. Just too light to be practical for me, but since they switched the carpet to black with the beige now I would certainly consider. Never saw it with silver, so I would have to put my own eyes on it. Looks good with Black, white, blue and red though. The beige is certainly a very BMW look - it has been the same a long time now and I do appreciate that - they always looked so good, but beige carpet... keeping it clean would turn me into a crazy person.

When I was looking, my top choice was Gray with Oyster (white) interior.
White with Beige was my 2nd choice, which is what I ended up with. Only issues are how easy it is to get the carpeted floor mats dirty and the winter mats don't offer enough traction to hold my foot in place. If I could, my next car would be blue (Estoril is top choice) with white or black interior. I've started to realize there are just too many white, black, gray, and silver cars on the road. Can't stand red or brown interiors. Though I could see the brown growing on me at some point, I don't think the red ever will.

I cannot figure out why some venetian beige interiors have black and beige contrast leather and a black carpet, while others are all beige. I read somewhere it had something to do with north america, or maybe the 2011 only had black carpet... I do not know. anyways.. I am very lucky I did not get the beige carpeting and I think this interior works better with silver then all beige. I do have rubber floor mats so its not a big deal. yesterday I took my dads car to a self car wash, pressure washed the carpets maybe 10 times and there was still black, muddy water coming out of them. I imagine this would clean the beige carpets fine, but I wouldnt want to deal with that it would be just an eyesore. this is what my interior looks like. http://f10.5post.com/forums/attachme...6&d=1279210062 vs this: https://5series.net/info/f10/interio...rkWood_003.jpg what do you guys prefer? |

Weird, since that was the only year they had limited colors for the interior for Sport Line. After 2014, they added oyster, which would've been my pick combined with imperial blue. Plus, the ambient lighting would show up much nicer on oyster than on black.

5 time owner of black vehicles and never buying another one again. I'm extremely careful about hand washing my cars. Pre-rinse. Two bucket wash method, etc. No matter how careful I am or how hard I try, my black cars always ended up getting millions of fine lines on them that I couldn't help but notice. A little rain? Watermarks. A little salt from the road? Extreme white patches. A little dust and sand? Death by 1000 cuts. Truth be told, I'm finding it exponentially easier caring for a factory matte paint car than a black car. |
