For any wondering about a capable shop to do some work on your cars, give Motorwerks a try in commerce. They were able to install my downpipe, intercooler, chargepipe last year. Pricing per hour is about $100. I paid for about 4-5 hours. It took them 2 days though to get everything right but nonetheless everything has been fine.

Another F30 EBII soon to arive!!
Finally found this evasive girl!! She should be a fun upgrade to my 09 e90. Why doesn’t anybody drive 6MT’s anymore?? Could have avoided shipping costs from Colorado lol.

Just introducing myself here, figured this would be a good thread to do it on. The F34 forum doesn't have much traffic? I just picked up a CPO 2015 F34 335x. I live in Lake Orion, commute to Novi now to new job office.
First BMW. It is covered until July 2020 so I am not looking to do too much until then, or may just sell and move on, that's TBD. I've had "unique" 4 doors in the past. 2005 CTV-V maggied, suspension, etc, 1996 Impala SS with lots of modifications, and I still own a 1992 Mistu Galant VR-4 #490/1000. My wife has had an 00 A6 2.7T 6M, and a Volvo S60R 6M. I have definite opinions on all the above, and still unsure on this F34.... I am leaning toward the BMW being not "manly" enough (in the trim and form that fit my budget currently). I didn't want a huge payment with the new job, though. In the future I can see: 1) Summer wheels/tires with the widest possible rear tire. (100% aesthetic, yes) 2) M Performance brake kit with Orange calipers (nearly entirely aesthetic, yes) 3) Performance tune, intake, possible exhaust I would love to have someone run some coding for a lot of little fixes like start up screens, button functionality, unlock on engine off, etc. I'm just not sure if that would void my warranty under CPO. Technically not unless they could prove it was a direct cause, but I'd rather keep everything legit during CPO coverage to avoid any issues. To the point where I will eat the cost and all oil changes under warranty will be performed at a BMW dealer for tracking purposes. Anyway, I can suggest a Detroit area shop: Vast Performance in Ferndale. Details in another thread I posted in. These guys are stand up guys, did Audi's in the early 2000s, now back with Audi's and others, including BMWs. I was on the fence between the F34 and Audi A7 / A5 hatch... but the A5 hatches were too new for my wallet and the A7s were fairly pricey with a stop sale when I needed to buy this summer due to an airbag sensor issue. Hopefully the car will grow on me. I really love the fact my 4 yr old can kick my driver seat, even when I keep it in my driving position! And the ease of throwing a bike or two in the back whenever needed. -PJ Gross |

Hey guys, just picked up a red 2017 CPO F31 back in January. I'm local to Ferndale, so hearing about a great tuning shop right by my house is great news!

Re: Ppl asking about good metro det. Indy shops... altho they’re expensive, Autobahn Engineering in Ann Arbor is where it’s at. You might see a lambo or 2 in the garage. Honestly I rarely go here anymore but they helped w/ my first couple bimmers. They have great great equipment.. b

Hi everyone! New to the forums with my second BMW. First was a 2015 535i xDrive that I turned back in after the lease ended last summer. Picked up a CPO 2017 Volvo XC90 T6 Momentum for the family - love this SUV and the market leading tech in it. I was getting bored as the SUV is largely my wife's to shuttle around our two munchkins. Two weeks ago I picked up a CPO 2016 435i xDrive M Sport convertible in Glacier Silver with Coral Red interior. Love the car!!! Decided to make it enjoyable for the whole fam and installed a booster seat for my 6 year old and a forward facing car seat for my 2.5 year old.
You may see me with the top down, largely driving around in Oakland county as I live in Farmington Hills. A lot of driving on Orchard Lake and Northwestern Highway, and more than likely you will see my two kids in the back Also just installed a MPE and have been thoroughly disappointed and underwhelmed by it but let's see if things improve after the 1200 breaking period. Thinking of putting on a CTS Turbo Cold Air Intake purely for the pleasing Turbo whooshing sounds - hopefully in the next couple of weeks! Curious which dealer you prefer if you still have warranty and take your car to the dealer? I have Erhard in Farmington Hills or Bloomfield Hills as my two closest options. Which one should I make my servicing dealer? See you guys on the road! |

Has anyone tried Nikolas Motorsport? Apparently it is a local performance shop in the Metro Detroit area specializing in BMWs, at least that is what I have heard. Any reviews or experiences with this shop?

I tried going to them but they wont use any aftermarket parts. They will let you order Dinan through them and then their labor rates were as bad as the dealer.
