Hi. I also think about HP70 swap on my 340i rwd. Just have 2 questions.
1) I don't understand exactly, which transmission support bracket have to use for correct installation, 330D F30 one ? Or 328i f30 one ? 2) can use HP70 from 535D rwd, 640d rwd n57z ? Or only 330D/430D/530D/730D ? I ask Because 535D and 640D gearbox (8hp70) different part numbers from 30D ones, and bmwcats shown that its not interchangeable. |

OP you are a saint for writing this up like you did, thank you!
As a 6MT guy, I’ve got 2 questions: 1. Is it much more difficult to swap from a 6mt to an HP70? I imagine the electronics would be the issue...not sure 2. If the 330d has a beefier auto than a 340, maybe they also spec’d a beefier 6mt? Something that I’m guessing @Kern417 and others will soon chime in on. |

My F30 has the 6MT at around 630~ whp at this point. I am currently wanting to swap over to this auto transmission for better drivability as LA traffic is really starting to kick my ass driving around with a twin disk clutch.
I am guessing to run this I will need some additional stuff - 1. Auto trans harness 2. Delete the master cylinder 3. Add Transmission cooler + Cooler lines 4. driveshaft swap possibly? I checked on real oem and seems the front drive shaft is the same on both the auto and manual. The rear driveshaft however is different with the manual using 26108676285, and the auto using either 26108676284, or 26107600194. If this is the case will I need to buy a new pumpkin too? I put HP70. Transfer case kit from Real Performance. 2500$.
https://www.realperformance.ru/untitled-cx7k The whole job took one working day. There are no installation difficulties. The hardest part is the software to run the HP70. None of us could do this before. And I had to buy a new full license and Xhp firmware. An important clarification, the HP70 itself is needed from the F 35-40D. There's a better trance itself (bagel).

Hi need some help have had the hp70 swap done on my car have xhp installed but the shift logic is all
Off from comfort to sports plus in D mode shift patterns don’t change no hard shifts at all and have to apply well over half a throttle to get car to downshift. Feels really lazy like it’s kept the diesel characteristics. S mode feels like it works as it should. Is this normal ? |

Would I do it now I know … definitely not Top it off only thing that I could have fixed it was the shift map editor but doesn’t even work on the hp70 xhp lol Sum it up I’ve got slow lazy horrible shifting witch won’t literally downshift until over half throttle is applied but upshifts like crazy in all three modes comfort sport and sport + witch is a horrible mix or S that actually does something but is crap for the motorway Anyone know any custom transmission tuners that I could pay to fix it ? Does it not bother you that it loses half transmission modes. It’s literally all or nothing no In between. Lost the ability for fast road driving and motorway driving in one mode.

Since your HP50 is out, send it to Pure Drivetrain Solutions to get it built. Then once you get it back just sell the HP70.

How comes ?
xhp do stage 1 2 and 3 for the transmission on the cars they actually come out of. Can’t see why you couldn’t alter the shift points to feel like the hp50 And it feels like the hp50 in S mode. So more than likely be possible |
