To anyone thinking about tires.. I would DEFINITELY recommend calling or texting Keith!
Glad I did (though, waited a bit too long) and will be using him and them again in the spring when I swap out of my runflats~ Always Motch |

Hi - I'd like to put 16" wheels on my snow tire set up for a 2016 328i xDrive wagon. Will a set of take off OEM E90 16" (type 268) wheels clear the brakes? The offset of 31mm appears to be okay, and I'll be reusing the F30 lug bolts.
The car has the stock brakes. And I assume I need new TPMS for the F30 Thx! |

Hi Keith,
Haven't noticed you thread before pulled a trigger on 255/45/R17's Sottozeros W210 RFT's for my 2014 328d xdrive. Love the tire, they are much quieter than stock 19" potenzas S001's, and ride quality and handling is very nice. What is drawback of going with 255's, in your opinion? To be honest I just went for the deal, same tires in 225 size would have cost me twice as much (supply and demand I guess). My rational also was that car sees dry asphalt or wet slush 97% of the time in winter, and Pirelli's are rated very well for these conditions. |

Hi Keith-
I have a (new to me) 2014 328d xDrive with the M-Sport package. My all-season tires are Goodyear 225/45ZR18 on the M wheels (I think I have the "blue" brakes people talk about). Pic attached... Which of the following would you recommend (both on different factory BMW wheels with TPMS)? Nexen Winguard Sport 235/40R18 (on 2009 3-series sport wheels) Pirelli Sottozero Winter 210 225/45R17 (on 7-spoke BMW wheels) Similar price and minimal wear on both. Thanks, Mike PS- I live in northern Utah. They plow, but I occasionally have to drive on neighborhood roads (or even the interstate) with several inches of snow if the plows are busy (e.g. it's snowing really hard). Thanks! PPS- Will the speedometer calibrate itself automatically (for the slightly smaller winter tires)? Last edited by AeroElastic; 08-19-2017 at 10:39 AM.. |

Hi Keith,
Are you able to give some reviews on running 19's on a 340i X-drive during winter ? I am debating on running 235-40-19 Sottozero 2 on my 403m rims... thank you.

Hi Keith, I've seen a lot of reviews that suggest Nokian Hakkapeliitta is the best, or certainly among the best winter tires available. I'm curious if you agree, and why is this tire not available on tirerack.com?

I just emailed Keith and got the following email back from Tire Rack: "Keith is no longer with The Tire Rack. If you need immediate assistance, please contact customer service at customerservice@tirerack.com". It would appear Keith has moved on.

Keith,
I've got 4 x 18" 400M alloys to mount winter tyres to, staggered 8j fronts and 8.5j rears. Would 225 45 R18's fit nicely all around ? Or am I better off getting different tyres for the rear ? Cheers! |

Hi all, new member here from Illinois. Just got my F30 the other day. Anyone here running Nokians for winter? I ran the WRG3 SUV all weather ones on my X5 (and my wife has the newer WRG4 on her car) and they were sooo much better than any all-season tire we've ever had (Goodyear tripletred and Continental All seasons). Not as grippy as dedicated studded... but I didn't need to change them out the rest of the year. Thing with the X5 is that it had a spare. I'm not sure if Nokian offers their Flat-Run on the WRG4s so that would be my only apprehension on them over the all-season run-flat Michelins. But if they did, I'm probably going to switch out the Michelins to Nokians. I can't praise their winter performance enough.
