Love it! Really sleek and easily the best looking of the F3x range. Makes the F30 look old and boxy.
Can't wait to take delivery of mine next month |

I'm not a hater; I like the 4GC, but there are two significant issues I have with the model as compared to my F30...
First, headroom is more limited than I anticipated. I'm 6' tall and I didn't fit in the rear seat at all. I think any taller than maybe 5' 10" and it's an uncomfortable ride if your in the back seat. The other issue is arguably just as important to me. The 4GC doesn't have recesses behind the wheel wells in the side-walls of the trunk interior. These recesses are essential for fitting a set of golf clubs side-to-side in the trunk. With the 4GC I'd have to fold down part of the rear seat, or put the clubs on the rear seat itself. Maybe I could try and justify the limited headspace, but I play a solid 60 rounds of golf a season... I need a car that accommodates my gear!

This looks like an F30.2
It's clearly an F30 that looks a bit different. Now whether one likes it or not will be a matter of personal preference. I happen to like this F30 variant. But, it's really STUPID what BMW is doing. It's a freakin F30 with slightly different styling. What's the point? They should have just released this as the mid model refresh. BMW is making too many models, and not much actual performance variance or styling between them. This Gran Coupe looks very much like the F30, so what's the point, other than it's the "newest" model on the block. Base 335i Msport is $47,975 with no options. The 335i Gran Coupe is $47,650 with no options. Is the car pictured a base model? Not likely. It's got Msport brakes, and I doubt that those brakes and all we see there will only be $47,650. If it is, then it'll be a better deal than a 335i Msport, where you pay extra for those brakes among other things, as we all know. I like the look of my 335i Msport, but I like this a bit more. |

DAMN !
I thought I could keep my car more than 2 years this time. I need to change my phone number again, so the sale representative is unable to reach me when they'll arrive in the showroom. Must...... Resist.

I like this car. I think it's stupid they're calling these Grand Coupes. They are more sporty liftbacks, but since nobody in America knows what that is and GC sounds more fancy, I guess confusion is better than obscurity.
I'm a big fan of liftback's personally. See the Skoda Superb, it's quite superb!

That's a market that is significantly larger than the M4 and the M5, pretty sure you don't view them as "stretching out the model lines too thin" now, do you. |

What's stupid is if BMW sits on its ass while other brands diversify their offerings. The 4 Gran Coupe is a wider, sleeker, sexier F30. And there are so many F30's out there now that many of us welcome something more unique than coating a family sedan in Estoril Purple II paint and bolting-on boy racer fender flares. How ironic. The M3 wouldn't exist unless BMW was catering to its niches; and yet you criticize the 4GC on the same grounds? Makes lots of sense. Totally. |

For years I suffered in a family sedan while lusting after the coupe, doing the right and responsible thing for my kids. Now I get my sleek coupe, they get a smaller seating area and tiny doors. My turn now. Have fun back there, bitches. Fuck 'em. |
