Guys, I have the answers we were waiting for.
Trcb777 - I was wrong! You are totally right! Excuse my mistake pls. It is possible to remap the N55 Stage 1 with a special software and the BMS cable. Trcb777, what setup are you currently running? |

Thank you for sharing your review!
I'm tempted to pick up the BMS Stage 1. I like that it is a very simple plug and play. That would make it very easy to take off before I go to the dealer for my servicing |

Yes, very easy to remove for dealership visits. It's such a Big Bang for the buck and one of the reasons I wanted the n55. Coming from naturally aspirated cars my entire life, it's so easy with forced induction to increase power compared to changing cams, heads, headers, or adding a turbo/sc. Plus my favorite car growing up was a Buick Grand National 3.8 turbo.

Hi Guys, new to this forum and was just wondering if I were to go with the JB4 it sounds like there are a few more connections to make for install, the question is, if this involves "tapping" into other wires and possibly a vacuum line, how easy is this to remove before a dealer service visit, and won't it be easy for them to tell that you have installed something? Sounds like the JB1 is very simple to install/remove, but I don't like the sounds of jerky shifting etc, and like the idea of possibly adding a dp in the future. Can anyone with a JB4 installed comment on this?

You have to untap DME wires next to the first connection. and also unwire the two grounding wires. If your pneumatic waste gate you'll also have to unplug one extra connection. Once you do it once, its not bad as long as you have all tools ready. Takes 10 min or less if your clips don't get stuck. The wire tapping is easy to hide as there is a black tape around the them that hold them together. When I tapped them I cut a slit in the back of it so its not visible and pulled back the tape/wrapping. When I remove I'll slide the tape back over the wires to hide the taps then put some black electric tape behind to seal the black wrap. They won't see a thing unless your DME fails from some other problem. Even then they will have to do some digging to find the taps. if your planning to do downpipes just buy the JB4 and not the stage 1 and learn the install.

Picked up the stage 1 for a M235 very easy install. The most difficult things to figure out was the clips. Once you do, it's a piece a cake. Feels mostly stock with a little extra power which is good. However the automatic doesn't always shift as crisp or quick as stock. Also on the M235 the car feels more boosted then naturally aspirated, as before installing the stage 1.
After reading about all the upgrades on the JB4, it appears that the newest version for model 2015 cars really only has one additional step, the tap connections. There's no more power wire or ground wire to connect. If somebody can verify that, it might be a win for the JB4 Also what exactly does the CANbus do? Thanks.

Question on BMS stage 1: I understand it increases 3.5psi over stock. But when I was logging boost via OBD2 port with the torque app it did not show more boost over stock? Is this normal?

Stage1 boost can not be raised, only lowered, for specific cars that require it. This is for the newer firmware / hardware.

Isn't the jb4 for ewg, with obdii connectors pretty much plug and play now? I just received mine, didn't install yet, but I assumed it was mostly plug and play
