Having sold most of them, I don't think they have. To be fair, the angle of that photo doesn't do it any favours. It is a epic car, but as said, for £130k, I'd be looking elsewhere.

Yep, they really have cocked up, 7m 28sec nurburgring time, 100 mph in less than 8 seconds, charged 120k for the thing and sold them all.

You think it's a 3 series though? Really? Have you seen the cars it's beaten or is very close to 'ring time'? It's just a collection item track performance beast.

Not to mention THE fastest BMW ever built. Yes it's off a 4 series platform ...but it is completely different.

I think we'd all rather a 911 GT3 but in reality obtaining either would be harder than you'd think.

You said they (BMW) had got it badly wrong, but they've built a 4 series that's as quick as a McLaren 12c and 991 GT3 RS and quicker than a Zonda F and Ferrari F12 Merc SLS Merc GTS etc....round the ring and sold them all.

Please explain how that isn't a stonking commercial and engineering success, to turn a pudding of a reps car (like the one you drive) into a car that can live with and beat supercars cars costing sometimes 2 or 3 times as much?

You don't have to like it, but to say they have got it badly wrong, is a statement not based on reality.

I agree, for me I love the car, but just dont like the wheels, i'll have the chance to see one in the flesh in a few weeks so I may change my mind...

I'm not keen on the wheels or the wing or the splitter but the wing and splitter are doing a job so there's no get around there, you can always change the wheels though to the carbon ones they do.

But I think they should be applauded for doing this, as a piece of automotive engineering.

Because the cars you have mentioned are design AND engineering master pieces, as quick and balanced as it might be, it looks dreadful to me. Like I said, each to their own. It's mad money for what it is.
