I have the 403M wheels on my 335i, they really look great! But, when you get the "Mixed Performance Staggered" set up, you get an increased speed limiter from 135 MPH to 155 MPH. This means you get Z rate tires (softer and wear faster) and if you drive in winter (I see a Jersey location on your
Avatar) then different winter tires are required... that is about $2K more...

I debated long and hard about this. Same questions and concerns you have. I sold a 370z before this car and wanted a great handling daily driver, but I also did not want a rough ride, bent rims, and expensive tires as I drive about 25k a year. I ended up going with the 400 square setup. Super glad I did. A lot track guy will tell you that 18" squares are better handling, so I think for me it just came down to ride and tire choice. The all season tires ride a lot better than I expected since runflats are frequently reviewed poorly. I attribute that to some of guys on 19"s. the ride is firm, but plenty compliant for my taste. Better than my 370z on swift springs abs 19"s. There is very little body roll and the car feels plenty planted to me. It grips wet or dry faster than any sane driving on the street needs and has more than I feel like giving it. The tires will last plenty long, the rims still look great imo. My original plan was that if I couldn't live with them I'd go aftermarket rims and michelins, but I have no desire at this point. You can get the speed limiter removed with a tune if you really have to go 155.

Fwiw, I used to road race motorcycles and have an expert race license, been on a lot of road courses, just to put some perspective on my review.
