Off The Shelf. It's the standard map that comes with a tuning platform for your DME.

I was running BM3 Stage 2 OTS map for a while and was one of those on the fence for a custom map. I'm glad I did. I've been working with Cary Jordan for a few weeks now and all I can say is WOW man. First of all he's super professional and very attentive. He answers all your questions in a timely manner. You don't feel like your bugging him with silly questions (God knows I had some). As for the tune itself all I can say is the car is absolutely transformed. Night and day versus the OTS map. He really dials in the power and timings (NY shit gas). If you're on the fence for a custom tune don't be, pull the trigger. You will thank me later.

I'm also considering the custom BM3 tune. I would be glad to hear some suggestions... One in regard to the next stage in my build, and the second for a BM3 tuner that couple of you have had a positive experience with.
I have a 2015 335i M-sport with adaptive suspension, aFe Momentum Pro 5R Cold Air Intake System, VRSF charge pipes, AR design catted downpipe, CSF fmic, Active Autowerk exhaust (install should be tomorrow for the exhaust), BM3 stage 2 91 octane OTS tune, BM3 WiFi agent, lighter VMR wheels, MPS4S tires, and new NGK plugs. I would like to start shopping the next step. I don't want to go meth, but I would consider an E30 mix with a custom tune. With the experience of some of the members here, do you recommend a custom BM3 tune for the next step, or am I missing something? I'm already happy with the power and grip levels currently, but of course we tend to have the urge to go to the next level =) |

I just assumed the OTS maps were pretty optimized, but I am coming from the VW/Audi community. The OTS tune (APR) for my GTI was pretty optimized.

I was talking to my buddy who is a mechanic today and has a tuned Subaru and he was telling me the best way is to go to a local dyno tune shop. He was saying that everything matters when tuning ... air temp, altitude, etc. he was saying that even if you get a "custom" tune off an online shop it will never be as good... what do you all think? And no he is. It trying to charge me to tune my car, just to be clear.

Cary got about 20whp/70wtq over the OTS on just 93 for me. Not to mention the car drives smoother. I definitely think it’s worth it for stock turbo.
