(I'm not expert) I know the FEM control unit checks which mirror is fitted.
And of course that mirror should be coded. There are various values to modify, I have solved precisely "skipping the control" by the control unit.

I retrofitted one myself. My car had auto dim only, I retrofitted a new mirror and gained the compass and homelink successfully.

Do you have the part number for that? Or are they all standard.

What f3x fem doesn't like about these mirrors? Maybe its the same as szl change. It also throws same error about incorrect part fitted. But with ista you can fix this error.
