Kies and Shumile Swift both have install videos for these, its incredibly simple -- no installation 'guide' required

Right. I think shumile installation little easier cause he tapped the wire in the outer socket.

Kies is rapping it near the battery so need to specific about the wire

That's true, I forgot about that part in the Kies video. I'd follow Shumile's for sure. Also, just so you guys know (because I went out and bought a pack before the package showed up) the DEPO lights come with 2x wire taps in the box so you don't need to buy them lol

Fortunately, I did not bring the wiretap but ended up spending $ on double-sided tape

Even double sided tape is not required.

Hey guys just bought some depo black tail lights for my f30 pre lci today!
Just to be clear should I buy these lci drip rails? Or we can just use the one that we have on the pre lci ?
What’s the purpose the buy the lci one? It hold the water better or is just for exterior purposes ?
Thank you

It seems like most people are installing their LCI tails without the drip rail. The LCI version accommodates the shape of the LCI tail lights better which stick out a bit. I don't think we know for certain if it will make a difference in its performance. I'm inclined to think that it won't make much of a difference.

Im keeping my pre-lci drip rails. I've had the blacklines installed (as shown in the other thread) and I do not think the difference warrants the price. Seriously though, what difference is that 1/8th of an inch of plastic going to make?

I saw your pictures in the other thread that’s why I decide to ask you guys !
The pictures that you post are the pre lci rails one right?
If doesn’t look that bad but you kind of can see the lights stick out a bit but maybe won’t be these big of a deal! I might just install them with the pre lci rails and then d3cide from there that will make more sense!

thank You tho !

I got the drip rails from the dealer for $70 CAD. Just in case there is an issue, it's not worth skipping for just that. I'm paranoid ever since I had my front and rear mats soaked because of the missing rubber firewall in the engine bay. The trunk is where the battery and a lot of electricals are, made sense for me to get it. Up to you.

I got the LCI drip rails from getbmwparts.com for $54. My Depo lights are scheduled to arrive on Saturday from URS. I just didn't want to do the job twice if I didn't like the way it looked. I think functionally the originals would have been fine.

Installed

I have installed it yesterday ...i like the way red one looks on the black car.

I was expecting the turn signal to be amber but it is not, it is red.

It was a pain in the A** to replace the lights on the trunk. it took approx 1 hour.

Amber turn signals are for Euro spec lights. The Blackline are only euro spec, which is why it's amber.

Just ordered blackline DEPOs yesterday, I think I will be one of the first base line AW F30s with them. I have some exterior mods and I couldn't find any example of what the blackline tail lights looked like on a modded base F30, but I'll post pictures as soon as they're installed which should be this next Thursday.
