in all honestly i just want the missus to stop destroying the bloody alloys. The rim protection on these wheels do nothing when shes at the wheel
Then wider tyres are the way to go, especially Goodyear F1’s, their rim protection is great!

Well finally bit the bullet on some Goodyear asymmetric 2 RFs.
I was within a gnats whisker of buying the PS4S's, but at the end of the day I don't want to faf about at the side of the road, all be it a small risk.
The Goodyears have some good reviews, although the reports of side bulges put me off a little. But overall I think they get a thumbs up from most people.
The other thing that I am a little worried about though, is now the 3 version's out, how long are the 2's gonna be available! I hate mixing tyres!
I hope they live up to the positive reviews they get.

Oh and I'm going to hunt a little further afield to find somewhere that will repair run flats.

The 3s have been out for years, the 5s are out now but not in runflats at the moment.

I’m looking to replace the Bridgstones on my f31 335d and the Goodyear Asymmetric 2 rft seem a good compromise all things considered. Whereabouts did you get your’s from Steve and may i ask what you paid?

Sorry to hijack the thread a little, currently have runflats and wanting to change to non runflats. Just got a puncture in 1 tyre. Can I change the 2 back tyres to non runflats and keep the 2 fronts as run flats until the wear a bit more?

I was on course to change all together but the puncture has thrown a bit of a spanner in the works....

Blackcircles. £620 all in. Fitted by HiQ who I have used before and found very good. Took care of my car, torqued the wheels to the correct spec, and even got the pressures right.
Probably could have got them cheaper though, as someone else may find!

Reading posts on here, people have mixed RFT with GFT axle to axle, Do not mix on the same axle!

Yes it's fine to mix them front to back.

Yes it's fine to mix them front to back.
The only caution on mixing would be on xDrive from the point of view of the rolling circumference and whether it could be sufficiently different to cause issues. Outside of that there's a lot of exaggeration in the dangers of mixing tyres axle to axle but think about it BMW happily spec a square or staggered setup - they don't change some magical setting due to the difference in grip front to rear that arises from this. Just be aware of the impact of any tyre change if you happen to be someone that drives at 10/10ths...

Thanks for the advice, will order 2 and give it a go. I’ve not got Xdrive so hopefully should be ok. Doing just under 30k a year so sure the front will wear out soon enough anyway.
