I contacted them directly and was able to go ahead and get my order placed. It will ship out as soon as it is available.
If anyone else wants to as well, Shaun said to contact him directly and his e-mail is ssnow@afepower.com and the price is $449 shipped. |

Its interesting also to see that open filter and sealed filter produce similar power gains.
Also, is the M-PPK Intake Silencer better than the InJen CAI and this aFe intake?

- The Pro 5R is a pre oiled air filter element and the Pro Dry S is whats knows as a dry flow air filter element, I believe. I do not know the performance difference between the two, but from a cleaning prospective the pre oiled element needs to be washed then re oiled and the dry flow element just needs to be washed. Both must be left to dry before re installation. Also the dry flow makes sense if your worried about getting filter element oil on your sensors.

I have been modding cars for a long time on many different platforms. Very rarely do intakes make advertised power. Not to mention the stock design is one of the best I have seen. When I see a third party dyno that has no financial interest in this I will take it seriously.

The AFE is basically the stock intake with a conical filter...yes, there is more flow (150 vs. 200), which is due to the larger surface area of the revised filter...I think an AFE drop in would give you the same effect.
