and yes that is brand new.. this is 19 in used(even tho new condition) who knows seller will do tire burn out before he sells?,, private party value should be much lower than vendor also OP trying to sell dark burl wood trim for $550 on other thread(which comes standard in every 14 328i/335i) $500 for 320i..lol
should be $200~300

All well and good, but I have been tracking 400's and 403's since day one on this board since I was among the first 1-2 people to sell 400's($1650). 400's still sell for $1500-1600 all day and the 403's sell for a considerable amount more. That's not opinion, that is simply the going rate.

Just sold my 400s yesterday for 1400...sometimes to get things done you need to be a little more reasonable...I highly doubt this wheel is worth over 2k privately and used(im sure bmw will sell it for over 3k). But hey if you wanna keep bumping this thread, instead of just making a little money, and giving a forum friend a good deal Enjoy OP!

Let me guess, your 400's were square, missing center caps?

Mine were staggered, summer tires, and 100% complete and sold when there were next to no sets available for $1650-even though I was thinking 1800+.

$1400 is about right for your set.

If you highly doubt this 403 set is worth less than $2k, you have not done your research. They sell on eBay and on this forum for over $2k-just do a search.

How many miles are currently on the tires/how much tread left? What model tire is it? Are the tires non-directional (can I rotate them from side to side)? I'm assuming the tires are summer performance tires? Please PM me.

Hell no to the $1500 offers. Let's be gentlemen please.

The set has 500 miles, tread must be 98-99%, as I baby the car since its not broken in yet. Tires are summer performance Bridgestone rft's. I think they are directional.

My inbox is cleared.

Guys be reasonable or move along. A lot of thread pooping going on here.

These are worth well over $2000. The tires alone are worth nearly $1000, add $250 for TPMS, and the wheels easily make up whatever difference.

I'm considering accepting his offer over PM but his inbox is full so I had to communicate with him through this thread. If the tires are able to be rotated and in good condition, I will most likely accept the offer.

My inbox is cleared. I'm fairly certain that staggered tires by default can not be rotated. Rotating is usually front to rear, not left to right.

The tires are in brand new condition.

I really do not care what price the OP gets, but putting false ideas in his head is not good, imo. Perhaps you do not remember this post where a set sold for $1950 with brand new tires taken off at the Dealership?

THose are take offs, still considered used for all intents and purpose and sold for $2k instantly. I had posted that link because of that low price and a board member here bought them instantly. It was a great buy.

How am I putting false ideas in anyones head? Just seems like you did not read the whole thread.

Please show me other people selling a complete setup of 403s for $1500-1600. If you read my quote when I first replied, $1900-2500 tops, so your examples posted BOTH fall in that range.

So, again, where is my false idea again?

Do a search on this forum, look at all the transactions.

If you look I was the first person to say $3k was too high. But I also know that $1500-1600 would be too low.

It's not good for the community when something is sold at too low a value, just like a foreclosure on your block. Then people seem to think that is the going rate.

I really want to pull the trigger but I'm extremely concerned about the lifetime of the tires. If the tires need to be switched out every 15k miles and aren't rotatable, wouldn't that mean I have to replace the tires every couple of years? Can somebody please try to convince me to get these as opposed to 400m square with all-seasons? Keep in mind that I'm going to use my 18" multi-spoke for winter so this would be for three seasons. If getting sexy 19" staggered wheels means I have to pay more up-front and pay much more in the future, then I don't think it's worth the performance upgrade. Either way, the 18" wheel or 19" will look better than the luxury line multi-spoke ;D

If you will review the ebay link, the wheels were relisted after supposedly selling for $2000 and eventually sold for $1950 - so they did NOT sell instantly. In fact, they were listed on ebay over a month earlier when I brought them to the attention of board member JParker82 in mid May when we met in person after he stated he liked the 19" 403M on mine.

Actually I did. The ads were $2500 OBO. Unless the seller wants to tell us, you have no idea what they actually sold for.

Furthermore, a set of 403M on ebay went unsold for $1900 2 weeks ago.

You set false expectations by saying the price was $1900 - $2500 when in the Summer of 2013, $2500 is most likely far too high. It was not 6 months earlier. Judging the $1900 on eBay that went unsold, $1900 might be too high as well.

$1500 - $1600 might be too low, but not by much, judging actual sales.

I don't even know which set we are talking about that sold and when.

You quoted me from months earlier where I mentioned an ebay link. I had posted in a thread about a good deal on eBay on this forum and someone went and hit buy it now instantly, see thread below:
http://www.f30post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=855187

Now the $2000 set and the $1950 set were not the same set, the $1950 set mentions a scratch that the first set did not have. If you look it says a "relist" doesn't have to mean identical item ... "This listing has ended. The seller has relisted this item or one like this."

I have sold a lot on eBay recently, and your examples in this thread are not some kind of gospel as to valuing an item. I have sold things that sell for 500 dollars time and time again, yet due to many factors like time of day, just bring less. Do not use eBay as your only gauge or as an absolute.

I posted here first, matter of fact that these wheels have a typical going rate of $1900-2500. You chimed in that my statements were false.

Great.

Take in to account the totality for how many sets have sold on eBay AND this forum and at what prices.

Do that and I assure you my range is very accurate.

I do not why this is still going on and the values on these wheels seem so debatable.

I do not why this is still going on and the values on these wheels seem so debatable.
Furthermore, given what I have experienced lately on eBay, a $1900 Buy It Now set listed earlier this month "like new" in the description that did not sell, would have resulted in 10% to eBay ($190) bringing the total received by the seller to $1710. Furthermore, if the Buyer used Visa/Mastercard (which is probable), another roughly $53 would have been subtracted - ending up with a Net to the Seller of $1657.

Obviously, this forum does not take those fees.

Bottom line, you noted $1900 - $2500 is the range, even though you called the bottom end of $2000 a "fair price" in your quote.

Is is very clear that over the past 3 months that the majority of 403M sets have been sold on eBay in the $1900-$2000 range, IF THEY ARE SOLD AT ALL, and it appears we are now dropping below $1900 given the unsold set.

As thus, again, telling the OP that up to $2500 is what reasonable range is giving him hope not based in reality - but then again - someone wins PowerBall although the odds are about 175,000,000:1 that they will not.

As thus, the true range of a set of 403M based on the latest 3 month sales is $1657 - $2000, with the $2,000 price the oldest price that has not been seen in 60 days.
