I agree with you. My dealership had an M-Performance splitter in the showroom, and I could put my finger in the gap left by those upper panels. It was also loose, I could wiggle them around with one finger. It will NEVER make sense to me as to why they include those extra pieces above the lip, without offering an option for JUST the lip. The only tuners I've found offering M-Sport chin splitters / lips that don't encroach on to the bumper are Varis (Japanese), AUTOPLUS (Japanese), and Kelleners (German, but its not a straight lip). None of them are cheap, or necessarily easy to deal with if something goes wrong on my end.

Definitely like the front splitter and fitment much better than the OE M Performance. Not to mention did you all see this? http://autoplus.jp/?pid=60982403
Carbon rear splitter to match and is more defined. Now who is gonna import this stuff?

Yeah congrats to Tokyo on the 2020 Olympics. It will be awesome. Love Tokyo so much.
Your car looks fantastic. My uncle has a 320d in Tokyo it's silver with Msport package. The seat bolsters on the Msport seats on the euro spec cars are so much higher on the sides then what we get in the USA =/
