I prefer Euro plates, I think they look plain without it. The fact I do go abroad occasionally in the car helps.

Agree - old-style plates do look plain and dull. Like you, I go abroad 4-5 times a year and personally think that stick-on magnetic GB tags are chavvy.

Not keen on the 3D effect; reminds me of the old plates when I was a kid - actual plastic numbers and letters that would crack and fall off! I suppose they would call it 'retro'.

I think the Euro-plates cause an imbalance by pushing the only characters that are required by law in the UK, to the right.

I am conscious that I've created a thread about something with little consequence but I feel I'm in good company.
