German Build: 6-8 weeks South Africa Build: 3-4 months Seems like some German builds have taken up to 10 weeks though, and some SA builds have taken up to 6 months. |

You are the second person I know of in the greater new england area that ordered after me with production started/completed already and mine hasn't even started yet. I know it's based on dealer production allocation, but I'm obviously impatient |

At what point in the process do you receive your Production number?
I ordered my car from the dealer last Tuesday 5/21. Got an email from my CA this morning saying that my car is scheduled for production in June. If he knows this, shouldn't he be passing on the production number? I guess I have trust issues because I won't feel comfortable that the car has truly been ordered and an allocation assigned until I have that number. |

I emailed my CA and requested the number. He just sent it! I was able to create a profile on BMWUSA.com and can now see that my car is in "Order Documented" status!!
Finally, this is starting to feel real!! |

Ha, didn't think I'd be on this thread again this soon. Vehicle just entered production with estimated 6/6 completion.
I had a 325i that was 6/7 production, made the ship by 6/18 and dealer on West Coast by 7/17. We'll see how this one goes and if the timeline is similar.
