When songs play on carplay, there is a 1-2 second delay after the song starts where there is no sound. Is this something that I have to just deal with or is there a solution? I believe it's just a lag from BT to the module, but it happens for every song.

Hello Friends,

So i ordered Carlinkit box from aliexpress and i'm having issue with this box, wonder if anyone experience this problem before ? ( my car is 2015 x5 )

so i install the box into my head unit and everything work expect the climate control dash doesn't want to light up and work. i have narrowed the problem down to either the box take up so much power for the climate control system or my car have problem with electricity by unplugged the box and reconnect all the original wire and the climate control dash work normal. Have anyone experience this before please let me know if i'm on the right track and maybe a way to fix this issue.

It a part of hardware you disconnected to connect the MMI so you probably didn't reconnect it properly.

The phone is paired correctly to the unit and to the car for phone calls, but every time when I open my car the unit ask me on the phone for a new pairing of devices? Is there a way to fix that?

i need help. I install yesterday the new Andream NewUI/B-Version in my i3 (from 09/2014) with the long power cable. The Carplay works great, but i have a big problem, the Display flickers / flashes in daylight.
In the evening it works without problems.
Software is actual installed: 1.0.4 and MCU 20.4.2.14

Have anyone a idea?

The Android Auto app now has some new pairing steps that you have to follow. Open the app on your phone and press "+ connect a car," then "Connect using wireless Android Auto,", then "Connect using Bluetooth," then select the mmi bluetooth connection.

Same for me with 10.25" widescreen (i3 2017).
Andream unit's 12V pins (red/black) on LVDS output can't deliver enough current for CID when at full brightness.

I directly connected the two pins (red/black) from HU out to CID in.
No need to route the 12V over the Andream MMI.

Hey, could you expand on this? Got any pics?

My OEM 10.25" widescreen (i3 2015) doesn't have the best quality when using AA on the MMI, it's okay, but I do notice some noise in the signal.

If there's an easy way to clean it up, I'd be really interested in the fix.

my hud display show just speed info but radio list, contact list and bmw nav not working, and check control not show OK but screen is clear without grean ,,OK,,
i think can-bus work not properly ? (steering wheel button works normaly ))

Important for step 2: If your original quadlock has a green 2-pin optical cable, you need to transfer that over to the new quadlock plug or otherwise you will not have any sound. If your quadlock does not have this cable, don't worry, in that case you don't have to do anything.

The controls stopped working as the later software updates require you to enable them if you wish to use them.

No idea why you can't update your unit, either it doesn't like your usb stick (not all work) or your unit might be faulty.

You could try the force update method but I would recommend if you do that then start with 2.0.2.7

The only issue is you can't answer incoming calls with CarPlay you have to use the phone button on the steering wheel to do that. Which is no issue really. You can use CarPlay or the steering wheel to place out going calls through the bmw idrive automatically also.

On CIC units calls are routed as needed.
