Not sure why everyone complains about stage 2+ on 93. The stock turbo can only go so far no matter what fuel, but my car definitely feels like a different animal on stage 2+ from 0-100. I’ve never dynoed or dragy tested my car, but I can 100% feel the torque increase. It’s been way more violent down low. I have fbo with Dorch stage 1 for anyone wondering.

HPFP advice
Any help here is appreciated
Tonight i will bring my car to my mechanic for a HPFP upgrade.
I would like to know what should i do.
Not the best way to do but no too much choices here.

Bringing my car with stock HPFP with a map/tune for the new HPFP.
Or bringing my car with stock HPFP and stock map/tune, when install done will have an upgraded HPFP with a stock map/tune.
So Stock HPFP on wrong tune or upgraded HPFP on wrong tune?

It’s not an ideal situation but i’m stock with it.
Only few kilometres to do, max 20km.
What should i do for less possible damage

Thanks for your time and knowledge

As far as I know the answer depends heavily on the type of your new HPFP!

Dorch Engineering 2
I posted in new thread, i wanted to delete it but didn’t find where to do so.
I think my best option would be to flash my map offline with Bootmod3.
One option that i didn’t think off, Dumy me
Thanks

Do you guys think a Dorch Stage 1 is plenty for a hybrid turbo on E30? Looking to stay in the 550whp range max.

I have a 2016 340Xi.

All things are leaning towards my HPFP beginning to fail.

I am looking for recommendations on which HPFP I should go with and from where? The dealership quoted me a steep price.

Thanks!

Depends what your power goals and budget are. Dorch stage 2 future proofs you. TU is a nice, cheap, plug and play option.

IMO it is a good choice, done the same.
After installing and a few km on can you give any input.
I find it really noisy in the cabin, not so much in the engine bay
Thanks

Even with the foam insulation and engine cover installed it's still noisy in the cabin?

I haven't had the cover on for awhile and I removed the foam insulation since it's a tight fit with the Dorch. It is a tad bit noisier in the cabin, but none of my passengers have mentioned anything. I can hear the injectors/HPFP/general engine noise more pronounced but it's no big deal.

whats the max power you can run on e30 with DAW turbo and TU pump? they are relatively the same size no? I got the race thrust assembly so im not sure if that has to do with anything. Struggling to reach 23 psi. Slower than OTS stage 2+ e30 map bm3

TU and E30 with DAW is not a good pairing. TU is good for pump 93. Maaaaaybe E20 at max, but you'll be boost/timing limited. I had TU at first then upgraded to Dorch. Now I can push 27psi and 11 degrees. I'm at E40 now, but will probably drop down to E35 or even E30. Hopefully tuner can squeeze 13 degrees of timing at 27psi when we're done. I'm 6MT though. All the ZF8 guys have no problem pushing 14-17 degrees and 26-27 psi with DAW/DS2 on E40.

Sell the TU lol.

I'm already running 13 degrees timing while being boost limited to around 20 psi with really clean logs. It's a matter of time when to buy the dorch when you're ready. it will be ok to run tu pump for now. i thought it would be able to support more fueling but in reality its only good for stage 2+.

You'd probably be able to get more power out of 93 or a light ethanol mix like E15-E20 from the TU. Really your tuner knows best. Can't wait for you to unlock the power once you go DS2!

Unfortunately I only have access to crudy California 91 (( so I really couldnt do 93. But I could do e20 but gas prices are insane at the moment so its not bad to have a bit more ethanol. For sure getting the dorch asap

550-600. You should absolutely be much faster than stage 2+ on stock turbo.I dropped over 1s 60-130/100-200.

Stage 2+ targets around 18-19psi last time i had it so I can't see 20-23psi on a DAW being slower than that.
