Clicking on Code should not cause a failure, it will just code the ECU to factory defaults for your VO and will undo any FDL coding you have done previously.

If you are changing the logo in the KOMBI, then yes, you want to click on "Code FDL", not "Code".

There is no Internet item in menu. The Internet browser still doesn't work.
The WiFi checkbox cannot be checked. WiFi still doesn't work.
I have flashed NBT by the 52.1 software today.
WiFi and Internet don't work.
BMW Online works like before flashing.

Is e-sys 3.23.4 compatible with PSdZData 52.1 or do I need newer version?

After you flashed it, did you retry the UPD05021.bin update?

I have seen where the existing old firmware is limited and can't apply the latest TX / MX versions from the update .bin file, and flashing doesn't also apply the latest TX / MX versions; however the flashing does allow the .bin file to apply the latest TX / MX versions afterwards.

No, I didn't.

I checked MN and TN versions after flashing and they was newer the ones containing in UPD05021.
(MN 2.38.15, TN 2.38.15 AFAIR)

I will try to use UPD05021 tomorrow though. Thanks for the advice.

Down here we have fixed speed radar cameras. If you go overspeed in one of them it does take a picture and later you get a traffic ticked. Most GPS sold in Brazil came with warnings so you don't forget where they are.

It is not possible with BMW Hard Drive based navigation systems (CIC & NBT) to add Red Light Cameras, Speed Cameras, POI's, or anything. With older DVD based navigation systems you could add these files to the DVD media.

I'm sorry if this is not the right place to post this as it's a F20 but F20post does not have a coding area.

My father's 118 didn't come with paddles and I decided to do a retrofit. Found a donor and replaced the steering wheel and airbag.
Replaced 205 with 2TB in salapa and coded the entire SVT tree. S*** happens and for some reason I got n CEL on the dash. Tried Tool32 to clear the error but it will pop up again once it's cleared.

However the engines runs smooth and flawlessly. The paddle shifters work fine and I have sport+ enabled.
For some reason it auto upshifts when the dial reaches the redline. AFAIK it's not supposed to upshift, right?

Now I have two problems:
- CEL
- Sport+ behaving weirdly

PS: Murphy is a close friend of mine and I accidentally pressed Code Default Values.
I swear it was an accident. Actually I had the laptop on my lap and my belly stepped over the touchpad and hit the Code Default Values button while I was talking to my father.

The car died instantly and my father was about to bury the car with me inside. Luckily I had saved the SVT file and after several different attempts I was able to code the car and got it working.

When the car was dead the steering wheel was super heavy (no assistance whatsoever), brake pedal also heavy, several error codes on the screen, airbag error...

After recoding the backup svt file all error went away but CEL and airbag error.
Tool32 was able to clear the airbag error but I still have CEL on the dash.

Time to take the car to the stealer.

Well... I'm in trouble

I took the car to the dealer today and I've been told that ISTA cannot code the car to factory values because 3 modules are damaged according to the attached report from ISTA/P.

He said it's not possible to be done without replacing the modules. That sounds awful and expensive. I've been talking to Shawn throughout the day and he agrees with me that it's not feasible to damage 3 modules at once just by coding.

The guy also told me that he tried that he was trying to update the firmware to bring the car to factory values.

Any help is highly appreciated.

The car is fully functional. Everything is fine but the power train / drivetrain (CEL) issue.

That is not good.

I noticed that you did make some changes to your FA for the paddle shifter and 2TB retrofit. Did you remove those from your FA before bringing the car back in for service? E-sys writes to your FA every time your FDL code unless you set it not to under settings.

My friend 1lyfe on this forum brought his car in with a different ZBE2 (iDrive Controller) module and they weren't able to program his car and they suggested replacing it as well.

I would remove all modifications you made to the car, restore it to original and also change your FA back to what it was before and try again.

He hit the dreaded "Screw Me Hard" button, and has corrupted the SVT and numerous ECU files are corrupted. We are going to have a TeamViewer session tomorrow to try and straighten it out.

I think it could be bossible by adding POI (camera) in the USB before to flash with next version. But I'm effraid to try and block the NBT.

Do you know a way to reset if "corrupted" and blocked ?

My experience is if any file is missing or added to the directory structure of one of the thumb drives, it won't install. I think if anything, perhaps some of the existing files would have to be somehow decompiled, data added, and then recompiled. If something went wrong, NBT could always be flashed.
