I was more referring to his "non-BMW friends" who obviously might benefit from a hint that their vehicles most likely also support coding... and potentially much more than BMW. (It wasn't BMW who invented the code-able software) P.s. VAG is not just VW... (Audi, Skoda, Seat, Porsche, Lambo...). The amount of coding I've done on my Audi... BMW is really nothing in comparison (slightly disappointed by that).

Well that makes 2 of us that didn't know that. What kinds of coding can you do with Audi & Porsche? Color me intrigued.

Maybe not the right place for that discussion here, but - generally the underlying principle is the same, only VAG seem to put more options as selectable code within the software.
Keep in mind I am talking about an earlier generation vehicle, but I was for example able to enable TPMS, Speech Dialogue System (required a small wiring mode in addition), ambient light package (with some additional hardware), etc., etc., which were all optional from the factory but not ordered. Thanks to coding, it was also possible to install a Rear view camera from an Audi R8 (by using hardware from both R8 and A6), which is NOT offered as an option for my model. The coding that makes sense on my BMW is great, but easy to remember as it is not that much. The coding on my Audi is a long TXT file with just the the headlines All I wanted to say with my comment here is an advice not to think this is something unique to BMWs... in reality BMW are a bit behind on that

Swapped in new Mahle HD tension arms, new belt, and halfway through installing a new thermostat. Cleaned up the engine compartment a bit. Thermostat came with the wrong gasket or I’d be done.

Installed LCI ambient lighting AC control trim. It looks sick and I haven't seen it during night yet. I definitely recommend this mod. [IMG][/IMG]

The amazon reviews for the 3D Max floor mats aren't great. Let us know your thoughts on them.
