I got the Stage 1 and Amp last year, then installed the sub in January with those switches off. I wasn't impressed with the new sub at all, until I switched 2 and 4 to on.

Sorry that this is a repeat, but on my Hi-Fi version I tried turning on 2 and 4 and to me it sounded somewhat flat. So I took everything apart again lol, and turn on the settings one-by-one. For some reason, 5 muted everything. Anyway, I ended up turning on 1, 2, 3, and 4, leaving 5 and 6 off. Not sure what all these DIP settings do, but this sounds better to me.

Having all on yields a -2db output. You actually went the polar opposite of everyone else.

Hi All, i have just installed this AMP into my F32, at beginning all is fine, sound is fine, then i connected the amp to my PC running win10, prompt me to upgrade the firmware, while upgrading the software showed me its not responding, so i quite the program. Now no sound is coming out of the speakers, no music, no chimes, simply silence. any help is highly appreciated.

Bought my amp from Bavsound. There was no manual or instructions. Just a post card from Bimmer-Tech, the amp, wiring harness, and that's it. Otherwise, I would have gladly have read the manual. I am usually the first one to say so that's why I ended up here to find more information/help.

DSP no longer has a file. You need to get back into the software and run all your stuffs again (input/output, crossover points/slopes, etc). Usually when there's a firmware update, it erases all stores files.

Not sure if it matters, but what version of the software did you install? The link I got the other day was for version 3.1 and worked fine on my Win10. Maybe uninstall and reinstall? Then open the app in demo mode without connecting to the amp and see if the app still hangs.

I am using 2.93, it was running fine in demo mode before i connected the AMP. i was about to try 3.4 but first i will try to upload any file and check..

hope the problem is not that the AMP is faulty.

Not if its a file from 2.93. You need a newer file.

Use and stick with 3.4. As mentioned above, there is no file actually loaded so there would be no sound, absolutely normal. No issues with the amp itself, just throw your file on it and you'll be good to go.

Those are the SW versions, nothing to do with the file itself. Software is either Version 2 or Version 3, you want Version 3 (now 3.4). Any of the V3 files will work fine. .afp= V2, .afpx= V3

Many thanks to everyone, sound is back and is just awesome. i loaded the 3.28 file for stock HiFi F30 provided by Nelson, although it really doesn't feel correct for my F32, it sounds better than nothing i am using v3.40 on windows 10,,

I've only had the software for the last 2 days but I am always an early adopter. On the site it said it will be posting what fixes the new version includes.

I've been using it for about 2 or so months now. Nothing really relevant here so no need for anyone to go out of their way for it. If you hook up to do any changes on your devices then you should always download and have the latest firmware prior, otherwise you're all good.
