Yep i got the M3 mounts too as I found a second hand set with only 10,000kms on them for cheap. plus the stock ones were out of stock.
Turbo oil lines.... is that an upgrade or replacing the existing? Any reason to do them? |

The oil lines, my return is leaking so I'm replacing both while I'm there. I really want to replace the cooling system while I'm in here but we'll see. Atleast the water pump, t stat and the hard to reach coolant lines |

I overhauled the entire cooling system and a bunch of coolant pipes. Let me know if you have any questions. The plumb for the M Sport model is slightly different. Sometimes it may not be clear on the parts diagrams.

I just had a look at the DIY for the water pump and tstat replacement. Im not going to bother to do it now as it actually doesnt look too bad to do later if needed.
Im swapping out my downpipe this week to a catless version so will check out my turbo lines while i have the car up. Hopefully all is fine, i can leave it as is and then if it leaks later i can have an excuse to upgrade the turbo :P |

Also, be very clear, take your time, and mark the coolant pipes you disconnect from the passenger (top) side of the radiator and transmission radiator. It is possible for those to get switched up. |

Thanks for the info man!
As far as the mounts go, honestly I have no idea what difference there is, I had a hard time finding m sport mounts, and when I did it felt like a special order, the m mounts look the same at quick glance, I haven't been able to figure out anything about them, it'll be hard to say anything related to it as I'm sure new m sport ones would feel better than my old ones, ha Side note, sway bar being delivered tomorrow it appears! |

I dont think there is any fitment differences between any of the F30 or F80 engine mounts (other than RWD and AWD). fitment I reckon they are all the same. in terms of stiffness i do wonder if the regular vs msport vs m3 have different stiffness/nvh?

So my engine mounts arrived today. the left one looks very similar to the one i already have in the car. No concerns at all.
The right is different.... Where the stock has a little hydraulic bladder thing on the bottom, the M3 part is solid. The distance from the three mounting holes to the bottom is a bit longer, but the distance from the mounting holes to the top of the mount seems the same... Overall i think it will be fine. Just surprised at how different it was, yet still seems to have the same mounting points... Can see the difference in the images below (pics stolen from ECS) |

Which would be perfect, I'm hoping they're stiffer, and I see the s55 guys pushing crazy power with what appears to be stock mounts still… not that the f30 mounts are weak. I want that little extra feel |

i don't think my sway bars are going to arrive soon..... so I'm going to do the bearings and all that when they arrive next week and just do the sway bar at a later date. Annoying....

This was 14$ so I was fine with modifying it Took 5 min Fits perfectly now Going to start pulling things apart this weekend, I'm stuck working everyday for a few weeks and still need an angle torque wrench to do rod bearings and windage/oil pan bolts before the pan is removed, few weeks But I'm pulling subframe hopefully this weekend if I can get away a min I'm wondering if an inlet and diverter would be easy to access with frame off |

@Tobz_au
What torque wrench are you going to use? I'm trying to decide if a 1/4" inch lb wrench would work for everything I'm doing Cdi had a nice one for around 350$ 24-240in/lb so 2-20ftlb Does angles as well. Gonna look around more at others still |
