I dont have a specific refrence. There was a youtube video circulated a few years ago that seemed accurate. I would google and look for specific BMW documentation, the engine codes are usually in the technical documentation

I've been trying to figure out what N55 variant the e82 135is from 2013 got. According to that chart and wikipedia it should have a forged crank and upgraded cooling but now I'm not sure. Realoem doesn't include a 135is to compare part numbers with. Any help clearing that up would be appreciated, thanks.

I have an F87 and F32 N55 block next to each other here. They both are stamped with the same casting. I read that number is strictly for the block casting, and makes no difference as to what actual engine it is. You'd need to read the white plastic tag on the bellhousing to know exactly which engine you've got.
