Is the EWG connector required for the JB4 or is it only for those people who really plan on doing major upgrades in the future and want the added benefits, because I only plan on doing exhaust and intake for now and maybe downpipe at a later time.

The JB will override the ppk, but you will still have the burble. Basically they don't stack.

JB4 installed
Got my JB4 last week from Mike@N54Tuning.com and it was a 2 day delivery. he answered all 134 of my questions quickly and promptly.
The install took me and my brother about 2 hours. We are not very handy and the PDF was not as clear as i would have liked but it wasn't bad at all. The system was 100% plug and play which was nice as i wasnt hot about cutting wires on these expensive cars. After driving it for a few days the improvement is well worth the cost. The car pulls much harder and seems to just rocket in sport mode. The JB4 is the only upgrade i have done and i am very happy with it. I would call it a must for any 4 or 3 series owner. My GF has a 328i and now she wants one for her car :-/. Thanks again Mike and i will be getting with you for more parts in the future. |

Typical JB4 install is about 30 minutes, usually a little longer first time around since folks aren't familiar with where everything is.

For noticeable power increase over the PPk, i recommend you do DP and JB4

Mike@x-ph.com and mike@n54tuning.com I have the JB4 and it's fantastic. Thinking about an air intake. Couple questions. What kind of increase can I reasonably expect and also I have heard people having issues with the Burger intake for the N55 engine. Are these all cleared up? If not, what's a good problem free intake?
Thanks Cam |

In terms of gains, they are about 10 hp/tq across the power band. The higher HP your car has the more gains the intake will produce. Mike |
