It's cool at night, nice and even light distribution!

For those of us who have black interior, the LED light gets absorbed by the black so you can barely see it. Like others, I didn't even notice the lights at night until I looked up and under the trim molding.

Great idea! Has anyone got the measurement file for F32 coupe? Specifically 1 continuous piece per panel.
As for the bmw ambient light.stl file that was posted on youtube, if I was to use this to order, how many quantity is require? It seems like the file is setup for a quantity of 1. |

I could be wrong but I believe the option is $350.00 It's not a bad look but I find it too bright. I like the slick and not too much attention of these strips. |

The guy I have making my set, could only do strips of just over 15 inches. So it looks like I'll have one piece for each of the backseats, but will have to do two pieces for the front seats. They're going to be made out of TPU, which is flexible so it can accommodate the curved trim on the front doors. I should have them next week.

Why can't you find a 3D printing service in your area and get it done yourself?

Sent you a PM.. thanks This got me thinking, I’m going to stop by my local hardware store tomorrow and buy some clear vinyl tubing.... like clear small vaccume hoses to see if that would be an alternative to disperse and amplify the lights. |

So a friend brought me 6 pieces (3 for each front doors). As it turn out the problem with his printer was "curving" and could not do larger or just in one piece.
The problem I see at the moment are gaps between each piece which can be trimmer with knife to look better. Other thing is color. Mine are white. It looks great in dark but during day.... lets say it "sticks out" maybe a bit too much. Maybe transparent with grooves in it to distribute light better would be better option. Or just transparet mate finish. |
