The funny thing is I grew up on OK, and when I saw that yard/shop was in Perkins I instantly knew it had to be a BS motor. I don't think there are even any BMW's in that little crap town, much less ready to go S55 & N55's sitting around for $5k!

New (used) m235i engine is in! Now just need to put a few things back together, change and fill fluids and I'll try to start it up! Not sure if I will run into any issues with the keys or MHD licensing issues with the dme (using original dme from 435i)
p.s turbo inlet pipe broke at some point taking og engine out, had to order a replacement, opt'd with an FTP inlet pipe! |

Hope they come down a few years from now, they make for cool project swaps, IF the price was in a better range. |

I would just change to the CTS/MST inlet and look into a good fuel pump upgrade while you can

Update : Engine is running ! Having random misfires in cylinder 3 and 5 at the moment, causing bad idle.
As well have a code indicating servomotor position sensor electrical malfunction, quantity control valve line disconnection. Working on getting these issues fixed and seeing where we're at |
