Very strange indeed. I would double check all connections, settings again: screen type, CAN protocol and make sure that car without OEM screen (or whatever it's called) is unticked. If that doesn't help ask your seller for the MCU update file...

just to make sure on the actual cd player have you checked to see if it says nbt or nbt evo as id4 headunits state nbt evo on the cd player unit itself but the menu looks like nbt. reason i say this as think its rare for the screen itself to go faulty on the nbt side

I was looking in YouTube and heard these android screens take about 5 min to boot up. I think the one I looked at was probably Android 9. Is this still the case for android 10? Or maybe android 11?

Average boot time for these devices is about 30sec. And no, Android 9 was quicker to boot than 10, however only by 1-2sec. |

1. He has no fucking clue what he is taking about 2. He spectacularly fucked up his unit 3. His expensive Apple watch is broke 4. He can't read digits and understand what he is looking at 5. He can't do basic math 6. He is brain damaged 7. Someone fucked up his script and he is talking about nuclear power plant None of the above is Android's fault. There are plenty of other issues with Android headunit but 5min bootup time is not one of them. Like I said it takes approximately 30sec to boot - anything else than that, something is wrong. Anyone claiming otherwise - either one of the above points or they've been scammed and got equivalent of Nokia 3310 trying to run iOS14. As for Android 11 - it's no different to Android 10. 11 is based on the same image as 10, it brings nothing to the table it's just "about time" for Chinese to make a change that will force some people to upgrade/buy a brand new unit. A11 is marketing gimmick. Yeah, underlying operating system is updated, but on the surface level it is all obscured and messed up by their custom ROM the same way A10 was. |
